Any map can be "good for rping" it's the people that matter. You don't need maps with pelicans or giant ships. Just some people who have half a brain.

and r u gonna give me any rp maps with the pelicans and big ships?

All maps are good RP maps. It depends on the people like Kiwi said.

Coldsnap is too big, and the fact that if you try to RP, it would take forever to find people if it was slayer or the not everyone was on red/blue.

What exactly is an rp game? I knwo it stands for role playing? But how does this work.

Those ones where people pretend they have houses? Those are one of the lamest things Kiwi has seen. If Kiwi wanted to play house he'd play The Sims.

I Think we'll have to add RPG5 to this list someday...:P

You're missing Kiwi's point. Kiwi doesn't join to play House even in his most unusual moods.

I remember I was playing RPG_beta4 and we were all in the Draco. Then I randomly said "Aye Captian!". Then it somehow reminded everyone of Star Trek. So we played Star Trek in the Draco.

Role Playing.

i do seperated RP sometimes, but noone ever joins...
i wont be on the comp for 2 weeks due to mean arse parents...
Seperated is fun if you know how to make the dracos stick in the air...

If a map relies on you having to do one specific thing to be fun then it sucks.

Teleport to cam is the most common one (everyone has to be in side seats) Can't melee it or it will fall.

There is a command to actually freeze it as well, but that looks laggy and such on other people's screens so it's a mixed bag as well.

It can be used for machinima so long as the camera man is host.



Usually a "good role play map" should be good for machinima as well. It is good to see people make a role play out of any map, but a specific map will help, and it is hard to make a map such as... ... ... ......blood gulch a huge city full of skyscrapers, etc.

So don't use BG, use any of the other bunches of city maps.

It's not that enjoying when ''other maps'' have many elements preventing RP.. so having some elements that encourage it and enought space do to your stuff is always appreciated.

So what's good for gameplay is bad for an RP? Kiwi ain't buying that.

well i'll tell you all the modified RPG_beta4 maps are lame... and the original is just a canceled project.

vertimad... was supposed to be a good rp map,
yoyomod 2 was also.
well i do run occasional servers with those too.
but people say they get exceptions when they play vertimad... hmm... BTW. vertigo city, if you flycam under the level their is a huge hollowed out dome thing... well... basically any map that has a vehicle with lots of seats and other fun c00 stuff is good for role pl@y. overpowerfull guns like nuke launchers in baconsracetrack ruins everything though because you have to constantly watch that room with the c4 and the nuke gun in it.
gah and noobs ruin it too...
and dumb people who ban you for nothing suck too... coldsnap is yum too
