I know how to make animation but what I cant seem to get working is the amimations for the different uses of the weapon. At the moment it is using the model animation for the flamethower but thay are not right for what I wont. The main ones I need to change are the fire and reload aminations. If anyone knows of a good tut or can point me in the rignt direction to get this working it would be apperacited. heres some pic of the weapon Third person view

For the firing animation, you could pose it by importing the ready animation, moving to the last frame, and deleting the keys, so there's the ready pose - just animate the 8 or so frames for firing. Export and tool a model_animations, and then use the Halo Animation Editor to inject that over a copy of the flamethrower's firing anim
For reload, get crafty using some of the same tecniques
