hes saying a port to the xbox. i have been wondering about this for ages. people have done it, but i don't know how well. there are the obvious issues, hud being a HUGE one, and how would u access the sp map from the xbox? you would need a new ui too. another thing, the xbox's hardware is quite inferior to a computer's so mostly anything would kill it.

Yes, I understand you're just trying to say port to xbox. The only co-op game I've played was this: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1952It played pretty well, with everyone being the same color and having a green arrow, but the weapons...are very unbalanced. Ok...that was strange, fixed it so I'm not talking from you....O_o Edited by ODX on Jan 6, 2008 at 06:12 PM

It doesn't sync. The clients will be shooting at nothing and getting killed by invisible enemies.
Pretty much the only hope of the client to hit something is the needler or grenade spam. Edited by Kiwi on Jan 6, 2008 at 11:50 PM

This discussion on Halo CE Co-op has been around probably since it was released but its the same answer. No.
There have been theorys on some ways it might work but nobody has tried them and they wouldn't work. Edited by Nexus Halo on Jan 7, 2008 at 03:05 AM

As far as I know the XBOX version doesn't have syncing AI either, it works because it is split screen, both players are on the same console. So, I was wondering, could sombody restore split-screen for PC? I doubt it very much and I would not have mentioned it if I hadn't noticed that some tags (the pistol scope zoom mask) have a split screen version.

Hack the ai data, and pipe it thrue a port or whatever. That would be over 100x more complicated than Patrick's portal app, and would choke the bandwidth, dude, but it's remotely possible and fun to ponder.

No co-op mode because there no split screen code in the game, AI does not and cannot sync in multiplayer across a network because there is no network datagram code in or functionality in the main program, No ragdoll physics because the physics engine does not support it, no, no, no. Over and done with, forever and ever, ad infinitum, so long and thanks for all the fish!

I read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy over the summer.... But I usually skip over smaller things... Or forget others in a bit... Its what you get for reading something in about 2 hours i guess...
