Offset x, stamp, offset y, stamp, and agian for - you'll see, kinda a T seam left to stamp over.

Someone should do a cubemapping tutorial because I do not have the resources to do so myself, but I do know how to make one and get one in game :P.

tileable textures plz.... that'd be nice.... also a quick question.... with bump maps do you put them in the texture, or after you make the texture, or does the game render them automatically?

Quote: --- Original message by: Rozar I don't know if there already is a tutorial for this, but a video tutorial that gave you step-by-step instructions on getting your map from 3ds/Gmax into Sapien, (Guerilla, Tool, etc.)
I know Hguru has a video tut, but he doesn't explain the errors you might get in Tool and stuff, also, no offense, but it's a little difficult to understand his (British?) accent. I'm thinking about making a very large tutorial that will explain a lot of things you need to know about making a map and getting it ingame. including modeling the map, and not just making a box map. it will be a little more advanced modeling, explaining all the tools at hand. two separate video files, one for gmax, one for 3ds. then some parts about fixing errors, and attaching bases properly. then getting it ingame, including making shaders for your bitmaps. then populating. thats a maybe though. also i might make a custom sky tutorial, since some of the ones ive seen are a little confusing.

Corndog. That tutorial would be half useless. We have tons of excelent tutorials on how to get a map ingame. But a modeling tutorial is always good.

very true. but i think a tutorial that teaches you to not make a map that isnt a flipped box, but isnt a full tilt lane modeling tut would be good.

Tons of tuts, but we need tuts that are calibrated to the optic nerve to directly train the nervous system to model ce content correctly. I don't think we have any tuts like that
