There's probably no return from this huge mistake, but I want to make some geometric, and aesthetic updates to my map, except I've lost the 3DS file data deep in the bowels of my Hard Drive. Other than searching for the specific filename (I dont know a single one...), is there a way I can use the .JMS in 3DS Max? I try to open it, but it wont work, I believe because it's one of the unsuported file types. I know that Bluestreak can convert 3DS data into .JMS, so is there a way to reverse it?
Thanks

is your map already compiled but you lost the original 3ds file or you lost it before you could compile it.

It's already compiled. I still have the .JMS data in the maps' folder, so I'm good there.

i meant is it compiled into a .map or scenario? cause if you got that you can use this to get the model back. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=3&fid=2029of course you would have to retexture it and reexport. if not then your out of luck i think

Ah, yes it's a .map and a scenario. And retexturing isnt a problem, thats the main thing I want done. I do beleive this is the kindest response for clarification I've recieved on any community website!
Thank you for the link!
