Ok, lets take a vote, who all thinks that Bungie is yet again change their minds and come out with Halo 3 on the next Microsoft OP (when that will be who knows?) They didn't think they were gonna make H2V and look at it now!!

well, I have vista and I like it, theres a few compatability issues but those are easy fixes, I do like vista

You realize the graphics of Halo 3 will require a better graphics card. In 2 years they WILL cost alot of money.

I don't think they'll make Halo 3 PC. It'll probably blow up most computers. If they do, like we've said before, the H3EK would pretty much be more locked up than H2EK. I don't see a reason for me getting vista because I would be getting it one or two games.

bungie would never only release for mac, they have strong ties with microsoft, if they made it for mac they would lose microsoft's help

It only 'sucks' because they let it out too early and they hadn't fix many of the bugs, though you don't always see them. It can't run games as good as XP because XP's had so many years to be perfect, while Vista's hasn't even been on the market for a year and hasn't had time to be perfect. It does support DX10, and if you've seen all the games coming out (E:Crysis) and them using DX10, or DX9, I would think Bungie will port it to PC to take Halo's graphics to a new level. Not to mention, it would stop us from making sad excuses for a mod of Halo 3 on an engine that can't even sync a gravity lift smoothly.

I see no point of there being a H3PC if there wont be a HEK. Thats the only reason i would get it. not to mention the average computer wouldnt be able to run it. it would play better on an xbox 360.

thats cuze the OS as well (being vista or XP) consumes RAM.....and other hidden applications...........on the 360 theres just the simple dashboard and the xbox OS....so it uses like the 95% of RAM to play the game.....and thats why it works fine on it



if they make a HEK mb it would be for the BSPs.....even tho if they unlock it like on haloCE u could do millions of things like custom co-op maps (area 54 or CII) would be fun with this feature, tons of syncable stuff, even more powerfull scripts, a better engine, rag doll bipeds and everything would have physics

XP cost alot until it was standard on all PC's. Wait a couple of years or dont be cheap.

Forge is basically spark edit on Pc. You can't make maps. Just mod them.

I truely believe that bungie will get mac gaming started up again. Even If it's not Halo. They started on mac, they have a chance to go back. If we're lucky, Bungie will crank out a project in a few years that will earn them tons of money and they'll buy the rights to Halo back from Microsoft.
The whole purpose of Halo when it was being developed back in 1999 was to start mac up as a gaming computer. Then M$ bought them out because they can't handle competition.

"Can't handle the competition"? It's called business. They have many fans on PC/Xbox, to suddenly go mac only would be a horrible business move.

They just became an independent company. Plus, They also have tons of fans from Marathon and Myth. To go mac with a new project would be a step in advance, Considering that they have fans from all platforms. I don't mean Mac only, I mean PC/Mac/whatever-console-they-want like they wanted to do with Halo 1. And macs are designed for processing power and video rendering, because they are used mostly for Audio/Video production. So teh graphics are powerful enough too.

guys, I dont think you get it, remember when XP came out everyone hated it because it had a lot of bugs in it just like vista now, and now look at XP. When they get all of the bugs worked out of vista, just like they did with XP, everyone will like vista more than XP

And then Apple will make OS 11.
And it will run on every computer.
And it will run Microsoft software with no emulation.
And Microsoft will go bankrupt.

That's what I predict. I mostly use macs, I use windows for gaming and 3d and stuff, but since me and my dad are involved in Video production, We're very fond of Apple.

ok, inbasul, there is no possible way apple can run windows programs, unless they are programmed to. The only way is if they buy part of Microsoft. Theres just no way, the Operating Systems are so different they are not compatable.

Yes they can. They can now, they run them native, they just need minor coding to get them to open correctly. Apple computers can also run Windows if you use bootcamp to partition it and boot off windows. Apple computers can run windows faster than alot of other computers out today.

What are we talking about? All I know, it doesn't have much to do with Halo 3 PC.

Halo 3 will be on PC why? To squeeze as much money as possible out of the pockets of the die hard Halo fans. I guarantee they WILL release it just to get more money and be able to say they are more powerful than Blizzard. (Blizzard makes at the least 100 Million a month, more than M$ makes every two days)

I dont see why Bungie hasn't released for Linux. Thats would make some truly die-hard fans of Halo.

Just get this: Halo 3 IS coming out for PC no doubt and I am not buying it because it will require an xbox live account to play online I bet.

Linux is the future.

Linux has nothing for it really. I know it's a developers thing but actually Mac uses the same coding, and they have developer tools and such. Macs have the potential to beat out linux in programming and development.

Windows has the chance to beat out Linux, too. Just one problem: Anyone can edit and redistribute Linux, for FREE. Thats why Halo 3 should be on Linux when it comes out for PC. XGL kicks DX 1-10.1's Butt.

[offtopic]Windows Vista is just a beefing up of the XP code, which is the exact same thing as the Windows 3.1 kernel. It has not changed at all, the only differences are the new things that were added. In my opinion, Windows XP is the last great OS from M$. Vista is just the XP kernel except with a GUI that uses more RAM than some computer games (The animations in the GUI is what kills it), an even worse file management system, and massive icons and locked and/or hidden menus that were tucked away because most computer users do not know how to use them. They made it hard for people who know what they are doing be able to customize their workspace.[/offtopic]
