Another map I'm working on, putting emphasis on fast-paced close-quarters combat.
There's gonna be a few unique features to this map:
-no starting grenades
-no jumping
Yeah, you heard me, no jumping.
Anywho, here's some pics (the person who can correctly guess what I'm basing this off of gets.....

I won't be working on the BSP anymore, however I'm going to be putting in some custom scenery.

Bsp looks awesome, what about the guns though?

That Turrent looks like one from Starwars though.

is turrent even a word? What is a turrent? I've heard this word before by people referencing Halo... But it's odd the people that say turrent all the time never say turret...

TimeSplitters, which is also the game that I based this level off of.
Also, I really want to get dual-wield shotguns in this map.

i agree with the steel ribs thing... needs some cover from everything(could be computer towers, control panels, busted blast doors,etc)... work on the hanger(look at the POA hanger its nice for a reason ^_^)... give it a control room, armory, bathroom(sounds stupid but it makes it more realistic and funny to play in), sick bay[lol med packs and needlers in one room], and of course... the heavy weapons locker

this would make it a really good map and diverse because of the extras that no one else has put in a map

Well for one, so people don't hop from platform to ledge or visa-versa, and two... it's kinda hard to explain, but I think it'll improve gameplay. It'll be one less button to worry about.

Also, that turret that's pictured is gonna have a cool firing sound effect.

And, the level will have music.

AND... I might make a UI out of this map, if I can get my UIs to work again.

Lastly, the weapon set is gonna be cool. Trust me.

also, I'm trying to make this a replica map. Now of course it won't be poly for poly, but I'm trying to get the general layout, shape, and theme the same or somewhat similar.

don't take away jumping. that removes a critical aspect of halo game play. i promise you, if you remove jumping, i will not touch that map.

Then don't. If you had the map you would realize that jumping is not an essential part of the map anyways as much of the map is a bunch of hallways.

it still takes away a serious freedom of halo.

jumping can still be useful in firefights (especially because a jump mele does alot more damage then a straight mele or a walking mele)

That's the other thing I'm disabling.
This is gonna be a guns and nades map. Also, the nades get fired out of specific weapons only.

And, update. Took me about an hour and a half to get the homing launcher modeled, textured, and ingame.
Keep in mind this weapon is a near replica of the one featured in TS2 (which explains the low detail level)

It has 6 rockets loaded in it, and is a one-time use weapon (due in part because there's no suitable reload animation that I could find).

lol thats one way to missue dutch also nugga as i said on Xfire most likely people will not like a no nade, no jump map i know you want to make a Time Splitters map set but think about it would that actualy work? cause peopel play halo for well halo whats next a new Biped?

about the map itself as stated before nice looking but still a bit empty especialy with no jump (please tell me you're not touching crouch) so what would one take cover behind seeing as that thing you made looks like an overpower rocket launcher (not that annything's wrong with that ;)) but thats going to be, well gay i mean a rocket weapon (or annyweapon for that case) in such a small space with no terms of defense? you might want to rethink that.

also about the i got an entire TS board willing to play it proof or stfu about that ^_^ for the rest decent map keep up the work.

There's only gonna be one of those rocket launchers.
Oh and I haven't mentioned the rest of the weapons yet:
-Plasma Autorifle (with plasma grenade launcher)
-Scifi Handgun
-Lasergun
-maybe the RCP500
-a Minigun of some sort
There will also be no crosshairs.

Rocket Launcher- smooth out the edges give the red parts on the main part of the gun bouncing red light animations(like its a battery life gage)[kinda reminds me of a weapon from the Ratchet and Klank games]
Time Portal- you need some major scripting and animations... remodel the ring and make it resemble something like the ring from stargate(animations and all)... cause its awesome and you can make it do anything you want it to do from there (time portal, teleporter,high end killing device) if you want it functional for whatever the purpose, scripts are required(for control panels,blast doors, and everyones favorite incinerating spash effect when it is activated)

other than that, have fun with it

Plasma rounds reflect off of all surfaces

Nugga why'd you spoil it? I was gonna say the space level from Whacked but then I saw the turret from the last TimeSplitters level. To bad it doesnt work on 360's.

Oh and dont forget the terminal where corpral hart died! Maybe it could activate the time machine?

omg please tell me those last pics of the new weapons in game are a result of a bad graphics card...otherwise please make everything that is smoothe(bad spelling lol) look somewhat reflective and shiny... cause otherwise it looks like stick weaponry

that would be because he is litterly remakeing the weapons and thats how they look ingame so yeah he prolly wont seeing as i know him well enough to know he wont budge

yeah, I made lots of those maps in newer versions of max, and now I have max 5, which means I can't do bsp work on them.
