I stumbled on this site last night. It says a lot about being open source, and if u can change this program (even to make money) u r welcome to do so. It has a 3d engine of sorts and i can imagine there would maybe be a possibillity of making some sort of a terrain making tool. Im not a computer tech or smart enough with programing to do this ( dont even know if it is possible) my programing skills lay in a grave with the Commodore/Amstrad 64 and the zx Spectrum 128 rofl, please comment if u know what these were (sure Dennis will)
So anyway its like Google Earth but it seems better and its totally open source im sure, so enjoy.

1 how the hell is this wrong topic (if it would have been possible)
2 the whole point was for some1 to change the programming
3 the textures would not be a part of it (thaught that would be obvious)
also i was just saying so w/e
still better than Google Earth

ok then if it would be possible (if u were a good enough programmer) u could use this as a basis for a 3d modeling program for making HALO CE maps. Thats why i posted here. And if u say thats not possible then u just are not a good enough programer. Also there could be lots other uses for this prog if u have an imagination and skills. U could even make a bunch$$$$$

You cant make money from a Halo related material without Bungies approval, or from what I have recently heard Microsofts approval.

u r not listening or even reading the topics in the link.
the program is totally open source. soo if u wanted to change it in someway that would make pple buy it then u will make $$$. Making a 3d modeling prog would be the relation to halo not the $$$

as i said 1st off im not a programer so i dont KNOW its possible but it (in my opinion) would be a really good start for a modeling prog, and if u r a good programer then almost anything is possible.
it was just an idea for the skilled amongst us.
Also ur posts did not help these forums at all. go HELP some1.
