Ok, im playing Half-life 2 (and its a pretty cool game) and I got this idea: what if we make a Half-life 2 HUD for Halo? Here's Pic:


All we need to do is change the part that says "Suit" to "Shield". And we need to find a purpose for the Squad Following but you get the idea.

yeah that would be easy. except for this: health and shield cant be displayed as a number i dont believe. everything else is simple.

oh please i wasn't gonna make one. i was just speculating

I could do that... And I'd probably replace the squad following with a radar...

Health and shields cant be numbers? I'd imagine thats possible...

the hl2 hud is ugly. try the timesplitters 2 hud.

It may be ugly, but it is basic and basic is good. Unless you like making things too complicated...

you can make it part of the biped FP model. but only ONE of them can be a number, numbers automaticly rig to the first function block, A out.

Are you sure you can't just make it like an ammo counter or something? I think I'm probably missing one little thing about making HUDs....

In case you forgot, both Primary weapon ammo & grenade ammo is displayed in numbers, os their has to be a way to do this.

You said FP model, what if we make two parts of the HUD. 1 for the FP model, and one used for the biped itself? (if it works that way)

Why not just the 007 health bar? (same thing)
That would be cool. Health as the left bar, shield as the right bar.

no, cause it wouldnt show up in teh FP, and it would involve hte same function blocks anyway, so it wouldnt work.

oh please mech, we worked together for a while and i was doing huds even then. how could i forget when im doing them now? the numbers are in a weapon hud interface while shield meters and health meters are in the unit hud interface. in the unit interfaces, there are no number spots

That just gave me a crazy idea:

What if we made the HUD tags, and have every weapon used in the map use the number HUD tags, while the other part of the HUD goes for the biped.
