there has been a ton of comments about the flood carrier form *you know where this is going* about what it is damged combat form or grunt? well when looking for grunt pictures i came across this
Flood Spore Incubator
This weaponless Flood creature was once a Grunt. Now, it’s a slow-moving egg sac for Flood Spores incubating inside. They wander aimlessly until they sense you’re nearing proximity. Wander too closely, and they will explode with the force of a grenade, spewing forth a host of Flood Spores. Flood Spore Incubators will also trigger uncollected grenades to explode when they pop, so keep your distance.

anyone wanna argue about it lol

flood carrier = evolution of a combat form.....when the combat form is to used it becomes a carrier...then infection to start the cycle again...............also a carrier is grunt and jackal when infected cuze they dont have strong enough bodys to become combat form

jackals dont exist in floodtype its only grunts that is floodboombs (my word for them and in swedish its potatis bomb = potato boomb. and the mini ones jumping its only potato (potatis))

When an Infection Form takes over a body that is unsuitable for combat, or once a combat form is damaged beyond use, it becomes a Carrier Form. Grunts and Jackals are immediately turned into this form upon infection, due to their weaker physiology, they are not deemed viable to become Combat Forms. Carrier Forms perpetuate the Flood species by acting as incubators for new Infection Forms, keeping them safe until they're fully developed, and disseminating them in combat.

Physically, they are a large, bloated sac situated upon a torso and a pair of waddling legs that slowly transport carrier forms. In combat situations, once they are within close proximity of a potential host or when their sacs are perforated even with a single projectile, systems within the sac form of the carrier form produce excessive amounts of volatile gas, forcing the carrier form to its pudgy feet while the sac exponentially swells with gas for several seconds, then spontaneously detonating into fleshy scraps and hurling several infection forms that were spawned within the carrier form into the air. The detonation itself is extremely damaging, and its gas-propelled dissemination of infection forms facilitates easier assimilation, as the infection forms are likely to be hurled near potential hosts.

Look clarification time.

Carrier forms can be any type of combat form, but Bungie's model creators were too lazy to make more than one type of carrier. If you look in the book The Art of Halo there are early concepts of both human and elite carrier forms.

the only flood form that is plant,(sort of) is gravemind(i think thats what it was) and it was a mix of a ring monitor, the flood "commander", and that plant thing from little shop of horrers

Ya, the gravemind isn't a mix between the flood and the moniter. The gravemind was only hanging onto it to learn from it. It did absorb a covenant prophet though.

The Gravemind happened naturally, without the help of 2401 Penitent Tangent. It is in a way like the queen of an ant mound. The Flood are naturally intelligent, proven by 343 GS. He says
Quote: The Flood's parasitic nature belies it's intelligence.
The Gravemind just happened to pick up the Monitor of Installation 04 (Delta Halo)

how does that work he falls into the water and the gravemind catch him sinking and sudenly they are under the library its just strange they dont show anything how they get up from the water

Its called time lapse.... Tis not possible to show all of the events happening in the game, the game would have to be too long... Cinematics hours long each. Not very good.
