Think about it, one of the best maps (Church) just came out. Yoyorast Island V2 is going to come out...soon, I think. CMT is making SP V2 which hopefully will be awesome, a lot of people are making Halo 3 weapons and others making the maps. Yeah we know Halo 2 Vista was a failure, but we still have CE and all these great people making great maps. And then there's Halo 3 coming out. We'll know more maps and what they look like and how to make them. CE has been out so long, and mappers, weapon makers, whatever else you do, you're more experienced so we could make it more like Halo 3 or just an outstanding map like Church. Anyone agree with me?

Everyone just needs to put some time and effort in their creations and at least try to make a decent map.

Lol, yeah, no offense, but most of your maps have NO replayability.

I think we still got alot to see yet. Just in this last year there has been a huge skill increase by the halo community. People are making better maps faster then ever before.

Well why don't you pick up some tutorials and make the next good map yourself.

Its not the Golden Age of Halo CE. When Halo 2 came out it was the same thing. Once people can get a good source of pictures and see the map its way easier to model. When Halo 3 comes out there MOST LIKELY all of the Halo 3 maps out. For a map to be liked to me it has to have some backround with the game. Like the map D4NO is making. It looks like it belongs in Halo. For instance Yoyocrast. It was cool for a couple of days but I dont like it too much since it doesnt really have to do with Halo. I know alot of people are going to say "its custom edition we can make what we want" and I understand that but a great map needs to have good gameplay, good detail, and be even on each side. (blood gulch)

but dont forget its HALO custom edition. i agree. i think maps should be symetrical, but not exactly the same. it should be even on both bases but not identical.

it would be great if it was though. if maps like church can look so good on the crappy halo1 engine, imagine how well people like crowpath could make maps that look absolutely amazing. with the better halo2 physics and better graphics we could make some sweet stuff. maybe even a longsword that you wont fall out of when you exit it.

But remember he worked on that map for like 3 years or something like that. Once I get H2V and H2EK Im going to make maps both in H2V and HCE since I use default vehicles and weapons.

Because stuff will sync! And we could finnaly play a good Zanzibar...I mean the REAL Zanzibar and use the wheel instead of falling through the course. If Microsoft wasn't stupid, we would almost all be playing Halo 2 XP ONLINE.
But NOOOOOO, they made their worst move, they still haven't made any news themselves of changing anything, they just don't care about PC gamers anymore...until Gears of War PC which my computer won't be able to run...or I can even buy it..
