Hi, I'm modelin a map with a lot of stuff, and I needed some help: not about the modeling, but for UI representation of the map. How to create some text info & a small thumbnail to be viewed on the map selection tab? I've done a lot of serch about this topic but without results. Any help would be appreciated.

it can be donem but it will only show while you've loaded the map its compiled into. (so, if I make one for something.map in itself and try to see it in the mainmenu, you wont see it. you'll have to start a game in it and use the map list in side of it, and thats the only place it will show)

ive successfully accomplished this actually. check out my xfire screenshots. but every orange_gejo said is true. they can only be viewd when you load the map, press pause and select your map within the UI. http://www.xfire.com/screenshots/hmcdustin/ss_file-cd8cb11fc8eb79379ada4bc281749ffe03cef738.jpg

wow, offtopicness lol... well, hopefully I can resolve that with more offtopicness lol A DS, and a PSP http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/orangegeko/DSC01727.jpgDS's browser (so much easyer than the PSP browser) http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/orangegeko/DSC01729.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/orangegeko/DSC01730.jpgPSP has many things it can do itself, like it can even emulate itself http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h176/orangegeko/DSC01731.jpgthats the picture for when I wana play digimon world 3 (ps1 game lol) on my PSP, and above there, is Bleach: Heat of the soul 4 (J) witch my firmware cant run lol.. and below digimon and the corupt file is a Supernintendo emulator lol. DS has beter functionailty, and is small, light, and has 2 screens lol, but PSP has 1337 hax so I can play things like GBA on it lol there.. now do both sides see the uses for both of em? unique game play and stuff for DS, hax for PSP. now stop being offtopic since I hopefully resolved the war

are u kidding me? u guys are fighting over systems? grow up. seriusly u guys actually pissed me off with OMFG PSP IS BETTER and XBOX 360 FTW!!! its all a matter of opinion. anyway back on topic, its in the ui area. theres a bitmap for the levels thumbnails and a Unicode string list for the text. go look in there. i dont know what to do past that part.
edit: if i can find out how, ill make a tutorial. Edited by Donut on Aug 18, 2007 at 08:09 PM
