I had the same problem with HEK+ when I was new... usaully it is because not all the tags were extracted, but sometimes big single-player maps use to much memory.

Check the debug.txt and post it here.

I found this on a different forum:

"you mean like edit already made maps? you'll need the hek+ for that. its on this site some wear, look around. And if you want to edit the single player maps, well the only one you can open in sapien is the silent cartographer (b30) and all the other ones you'll have to make a new .scenario file and add the bsps. I've tried it and don't recommend it until your really good with sapien."

So does anyone know how to make a new .scenario file? and then add the tags?

Well, first you need to make a BSP, it is the geometry of the map.

Look on the halomaps. There is a download for all the singleplayer senerios which come with the stuff you need. Or when you open up the map select everything and then rip it.

Rip the HPC ones, the ones on this site are missing files. Didn't you make them Nexus?

Yea, I wouldnt have noticed if it had one bitmap I needed lol. Took me 2 days to get the thing cuz HEK + doesnt work on this comp and you need more than one .map file for the bitmaps to extract correctly... (bitmaps.map is needed in same folder as the map you're extracting)

And if it still won't load open up the scenario file and delete everything (scenery, weapons, and vehicles are optional). It worked for me.

Oh yes, you can keep cutscenes, trigger volumes,ai and all of it's stuff, and player starting places

What you want to do is extract EVERYTHING from the map file. Where it says characters, weapons, vehicles ect... Select all those folders and extract then it will work.
