If you have like a PNG, BMP, TIF, or those kinds or pic formats, is it possible to make them into BITMAP format because i don't know how. Please tell me yes or no and how I can do it.


I KNOW THIS IS A NEWBIE QUESTION BUT IM NOT NOOB. i apreciate your veiw and/or reply.

yep. Open up paintshop pro, photoshop or even paint and then open the file of your choice. I think it's easier to use paintshop pro or photoshop. So once the file is open in your program of choice just go to file save as and just rename and resave in whatever format you want.

it's not a newbie question really.

By Bitmap, did you mean the Halo format??? If you didn't, what he said was right, if you did, I will tell you how.

png=portable network graphics. yes paint will accept png, no it cant do alpha which sucks. anyone else think paint would be alot better if it could handle and create alpha?

yes paint would be awesome if it could do alpha.

i wonder if openoffice.org's DRAW can do alpha. It's free and is somewhat like paint, a little better in some aspects.

As far as drawing programs go, I would recommend Paint.net for being powerful but free. It does layers, alphas, and a bunch of other things you would want in a program. I never got into Gimp but its good too.
