Most teams have a lot more contributors than actual members. If you ever read credits on... hmmm... any piece of media in existance, you'd know this. 3. Contributors need not be listed in the announcement thread. They can be listed either in a seperate thread or in the in-game credits. Listing them in the announcement thread is just unnecessary clutter. 4. If you wish to be in the credits, ask Masters or Teh Lag and give them your actual name!

It was initially suggested by korn we do swapping weapons like H2+, but I personally was against it because it would mean having larger marine file sizes which would effect tagspace when we still wanted the mod to work with non OS users. I don't know if korn has the time or wants to do the effort for that now though, since he's been doing way cooler things with OS related to multiplayer.
And there's no other ships in the the campaign, so no MAC strikes or anything.

Masters is already doing a fine job of monitoring conversation anyway, plus he's got the knowledge of what to say and what not to say.

After coming on halomaps and seeing a public beta of CMT's new SP, I had to reinstall CE and give it a go. Please note, as there is not a loading zone in a certain part of "Assault of the control room", I can not move past that level at the time being. (It's after the added section of grassy valley type area, which is right after the bridge over the chasm you drive the tank)
The first thing that needs to be fixed is loading zones. sometimes they work, sometimes I have to go back to where i think they are and jump around like a maniac to hit the load zone trigger.
Secondly, the mapping of the additional areas are uh... not too good. The added portions on the pillar of autumn, toward the end, completely ruined the level. I felt the gameplay in that area was terrible. the areas themselves were poorly designed, and it was just extending something that didn't need to be extended.
There was also a glitch, possibly in the Truth and Reconciliation level, where everything was so bright white that I couldn't see anything at all.
The vehicles, also, are extremely fragile and seem to like to blow up when skidding against something, or when hitting things lightly.
I do, however, like the weapons. I do like the brutes, though their shields can use a toning down.

That wasn't SPV3 you were playing those were private beta builds of SPV2 from various dates in 08 and 09 that were released after the team disbanded. The only real SPV3 map is a50.yelo.

Yeah, there's also a lot of "spv2 betas" that aren't actually made by us, but use ripped tags along with other peoples own mods and work. But they still are called CMT or SPV2 maps by Halomaps.org

Hello Halo Maps! Well! Here we are again. A few weeks later and I'm back with yet another weapon in the ever growing arsenal that CMT has. I present to you... The Designated Marksman Rifle! Or as everyone knows it as, the DMR.  Now the DMR was kind of an idea Masterz and I had briefly talked about over AIM. It was something that really never went past any sort of planning stage. However, one day I found myself hell bent on fixing up my Battle Rifle model. I wanted to loosen up some edges, clean some things up, maybe re-bake the normal? This was my original goal. However, the more I thought about it, I stopped really thinking that anything was wrong with the BR. In fact, Dano had done such a great job at hiding my mistakes, and creating a beautiful gun, I decided that there was no real point in messing with it. However, I knew in the back of my mind that I wanted to clean up the model, to really show I knew what I was doing. So during some down time, I decided that I might secretly create a DMR. The idea stemmed from seeing a multitude of pictures of the new DMR from Halo 4 show up, and as I went on forums, and complained about how lazy the model looked compared to Bungie's... I decided, "Why not just do it myself?" So there I was, working in secret on something no one was really expecting. However, I quickly ran in to the problem that happens when you don't talk to others, and that's not knowing really what everyone wanted to see, or even if they really wanted it. I recalled some conversations with Masterz on what we would do with a DMR in CMT's world. Some ideas got tossed around, Masterz only really saying that he would like to see the Halo 4 DMR scope on it. So as I continued to work, I began to think about how I would manufacture such a gun.  As you can see in the model, the rear section follows closely to the original CMT Battle Rifle. That's because it is! Although cleaned up, and quite a few additional pieces have been added, the butt of the gun remains to be similar to our Battle Rifle. This was a choice on my part. It kind of made sense in my head that the human weapons in the Halo universe could be modular in a sense. Some parts swapped here and there, single fire added, and bam! you had yourself a modified Battle Rifle in the form of a Designated Marksman Rifle. This also helped us go easy on the animations, due to how similar the two weapons are, we were able to recycle a lot of animation and modify it for the DMR itself. Personally I think it turned out very well, and I wouldn't change a thing. We have a bit of 343i's Halo 4 style, and a bit of Bungie's Reach's style, and you get what you see above. So after a I had completed the model, I sent a render to Masterz. And leave it to Masterz to cause enough ruckus to actually get the weapon in the tagset for CMT. I'm very happy to have a weapon completely created by myself (minus animations) to be included in our tagset. I can only hope that everyone here will be as happy to use it as I am.  Well I hope that was something interesting to read, as always feel free to ask questions, I'll respond if I can. And of course, what you see in the following video is not representative of the final product. It's still very much a WIP in the shader area, and animations are slightly modified Battle Rifle animations and thus there are some weird things going on with the bolt, and some flickering numbers that of course will be fixed before release.
