Something in this vid is now part of SPV3.

Also we did the last a10 beta this weekend before our RC builds, responses with the exception of 1 have been overwhelmingly positive, people who have been pretty against yet another H1 campaign mod were impressed. Soon as the BSP's new textures, one of our new weapons is completed, and the rest of the updated scenery is polished, we will be showing lots and lots of A10.

Masters, I know what that something is!

It's the AR. It's in every campaign mod ever created. :/

Oh and the grunts!

@everyone, it's within the first 30 seconds

@Altheros: Sure. Soon as you start behaving and treating others nicely and helping them out. Then you can have any tags you want.

I have a hunch it's the thermal vision for the sniper, or any other weapon\normal vision ect.

either the sniper or the full spec vision

do I win?

by the by, I happened to run across this in the suggested videos bar, and I think you guys should totally do a release trailer similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUmhToTnSYY&feature=g-vrec for spv3 when it's nearing completion

a type of throwback trailer like that would be killah

Yes, you got it, scoped thermal vision (and binoculars for that matter) for ODSTs.

And it's a pretty cool trailer, but I doubt we'll have one like that again. Soon as A10 is pretty we'll do a trailer for that, or a little commentary vid like the one that was done for SPV2's B30.

Hi,

I have a question about OS.
When OS gets installed, it is known to change the default field of view (FOV).

However, when one disables the d3d9.dll to "disable" OS, what happens to the FOV? Is it possible that it remains the same value that OS set it to? I realise this is a more technical question as to how OS works, but an answer would be much appreciated.

Atm, there is some that think the FOV remains that which OS set it to after installation, which can cause some cutscene issues as more gets shown than the cinematic director wants to show.

I was actually thinking the same thing, I have this horrible feeling that the value that OS resets the FOV to isn't actually the halo original, as the FOV always seem to change slightly in certain situations, but I have never posted this because I am probably wrong and I haven't tested it thoroughly.

But the contrast would be so awesome. And now the custom bit would look better than the last franchise game!(SPV3 does look better than reach, though.)

Well, OS does let you set a specific FOV for a lot of situations, including individual weapons. Perhaps either you set the FOV badly for one item, or there is an incorrect FOV for one item?
I have noticed that exiting warthogs is rather strange. There is no Vehicle View setting, but it was in at one point, so maybe there's a dodgy setting left behind.

The details are nice and all, but you seriously need to practice basic human proportions and anatomy. That stuff is pretty off, especially the legs and torso area. The legs are gigantic and the chest\torso are very small.

I am good at proportions and anatomy. :| Just not for all drawings sometimes. It looks better this way anyways. :) If you want me to draw better proportions, look at some of my manga and anime drawings.... which i don't show any of them....

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but review and compare your work to others, the basic anatomy of a human being is off in that picture. I've seen plenty of people with the same attitude (even myself at some points) who simply will not take criticism, yet they should, because all it will do is help improve your work.

The anatomy of that concept looks great. Maybe a few little errors, but it looks realistic for a flexible human being. It might be a good idea to change it a little bit from the average human anatomy to cater for Masterchief being genetically enhanced though.

Higuy, I have no idea what you see wrong with the anatomy of the concept. It looks like the best image of a human being I've ever seen. Most images come up with a fantasy concept that makes little sense.

Well i do agree that the legs are a bit long and the head some what small.... but you don't understand.... try re-drawing something so awesome to look the same over again.... not so easy. :| Yeah... that's sorta my reason... It was kind of too late.... I could try scaling it down with a photo editing software if you would like it to be more in shape. :)

Just want to point out that this is P3's concept, not CMT's or a member of CMT.

That said, it has some good ideas, but we're most likely to just touch up our current design.

Actually, i knew that leg mistake and some others to begin with... but i didn't want to re-draw like what i said in my other post. And also, i was already this good. I am even better than what you guys see here... It's just somethings that don't look as good. But thanks anyways for the uppity comment... :|

I don't think that proportionality really matters when you're just trying to map out an idea like that. The important part is knowing the details of the elements on your character.

Sorry bro, l don't mean to sound like a dick.

You tried to contribute to CMT's work, a very nice gesture. Most people just make random suggestions but you even visualized your idea. Then you got upset when they (or him) told you they don't need your help.

Now... that happens often.
But don't worry; If you go to an art school or start a professional career you'll learn to take criticism and stop making excuses.
