Wow this debate is amusing, but seriously: Ice = Solid state H2O Water = Liquid state H2O Is this really so hard?

You should copy you CE directory and then reinstall the game. The main reason why we are dropping .map support is that the things we are doing with our gameplay are starting to depend on OS features. It has very little to do with optimizing our content to fit tag space concerns or anything, in fact the majority of the maps get tag slot errors. The whole reason of us requiring OS because of the size and scope of our tag set is horribly misunderstood, there are still plenty of limitations OS can not fix. Edit: For those who keep asking about the grunt, this was the last progress any of us were shown. It was being worked on by CAMTHEWEIRD/NUGGERWARMER. So if anyone knows how to contact him let him know we still need the model, or at least let us know if we need to remake it from scratch. Honestly, unless we can get in contact with him, this thing will never see the light of day. I don't think any of us have heard from him for a few months now. Looks good, but i'm not tooo fond of the armor on the head, though it looks a bit WIP.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled OS and Halo many times, deleted the whole halo folder, tried everything i can think of, made sure absolutely no non-essential programs are running and halo will always exception on startup with OS installed. Guess this means this mod will always be unavailable to me.

Anyone else with that having any problems? E: apparently it was caused by my iZ3D driver, that's a driver that allows be to enable anaglyphic 3d on games. Made an exception for halo and it seems to work now. Edited by Koo294 on Jul 21, 2012 at 09:53 AM

I don't think I like this Grunt as much as the others that have been featured throughout the series. It just doesn't seem quite right in terms of its proportions, or something. I dunno, it just feels off somehow.
I would suggest something along the lines of the new Halo 4 Grunts, perhaps? Something short and stocky, rather than small and lean. And a less angular head. Edited by Echo77 on Jul 21, 2012 at 01:50 AM

Quote: --- Original message by: FMT MasterChief Wow that grunt have more abs than i have :( Technically, if the Unggoy's abdominal muscles were comparable to that of Homo Sapiens, it would not have more abs than you. Rather, it would have stronger abdominal muscles - or ABS- and less stomach fat. The term 'no abs at all' is incorrect, as we all have the same amount of abdominal muscles. Perhaps you should say 'Wow, that grunt has less stomach fat and stronger abdominals than I do!' But I doubt you will heed my lecture. Liking the grunt. Reminds me more of a dog - lean and vicious. Thats what they are compared to in the books; it seems to be rather accurate, in my opinion.

Let's put aside this discussion of what could be/could have been and take a peek at something that was not until recently, but now is. Quote: Wowee, it's been more than three years since the original Wraith hijack animation video was posted. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KmbsYobyVI) And it has almost 60k views for mystery reasons??? A lot of people put a lot of hard work into the team to make this thing a reality since then. Yes, that's boarding (though sadly we're not yet using the great system developed by ChokingVictim for Open Sauce), and yes, that's a real EMP effect (developed by Kirby using Open Sauce's new scripting commands).
Hopefully more quick videos like this will be coming soon to showcase other stuff that people have been putting together. Edited by teh lag on Jul 23, 2012 at 01:22 AM
