It seems decent, however to me it looks unfinished. It feels like there is far too much detail around the edges for that huge space in the center, it seems to cluttered. Also the detail feels unfinished. It's a flat color with a (seemingly) single layer of one-color scuff applied. (the alpha does have a second layer for darker stuff, but that same detail is the brighter color in the diffuse, leaving it somewhat as if the scuffs were never there in the first place)

Thanks for the crit man.
You all know that i never finish my textures, because i am too lazy to manually make wear and scratches.
This is the result of using Ddo for the 1st time.

I start with something like this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1__ULlG76Q&list=UUGeNL9Zlsf8pqqtu4pWozjA

but use 25% , 50% and 75% grey in the bump also.
then use crazybump to make a nice normal
then use Ddo to make the diffuse and specular.

I think it would be better to use Photoshop, most people moding Halo use it. Althought Gimp it's pretty similar.

Also can you send me, you know, certain images you have hidden in your map. I managed to get them from paradise_perdu. But i think it's easier if you send them to me =3

Send them in PM. :) :) :) :)

I wuld luv yu 4ever br0! x0x0

Hey Higuy I'm not sure if you posted this http://ficusgames.com/games/sp.html yet. I really like it, makes me think of fantasy with halo mixed in.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend eventually posting it to something like indieDB.

Thanks! I have not posted that quite yet as its still a WIP, but I'm super glad that you like it! Currently our team has a music composer in it who is a close friend of mine, and he will be creating the entire soundtrack. That is only a taste of whats to come!

IndieDB is definitely on the list of places to spread our work - this month we have been posting pictures and most likely the end of next week we will be wrapping it up with a small video. From there, we will be spreading Ficus to plenty of places such as IndieDB and gamedev.net, hoping to draw a bit more attention.

It's cool that you guys are breaking out of the halo modding scene and explore something new. Will follow your progress.

I'm assuming that you are going to charge something for the game you make? Hard to imagine making an entire game along with a custom soundtrack and not receiving some from of payment.

expect the steam early access release of Lumoris soon

Pretty stoked about whatever this is though. Personally hope it includes dinosaurs in some way, shape, or form but that's just me. Why dinosaurs? Well if you have to ask you clearly just don't understand and never will.

I'm pretty interested about Ficus Engine (whatever it can do).
That means if people can get their hands on it to do certain projects if they want.

Just finished the shield and health from scratch. Modeled it after the vids of TSC:E, but obvious differences.
Overall, it's just a slick look that I really liked in the new CMT previews. *shrug*

vid of it, came out super dark though.

Hey uh, isn't your health depleting the wrong way in the video, or is that just how you made it?
