No offense, but I don't like it at all. Maybe its the angle that you took the render?

I posted this on technical, but it's not nearly as viewed as General Discussion, and I really need an answer. Sorry if I'm spamming, but:
I use 3ds max 2010 64-bit. Chimp won't work for me and I can't import the .wrl file. How might I fix the degenerate triangles to get the .jms into .scenario form, bearing in mind I'm hardly an experienced user of the program?

Before exporting use a Turn to Mesh modifier in Max to pre-triangulate the model. HCE tends to make up errors(from my experience) when it triangulates.

that grey and black texture is pretty cool looking, i'm not too sure about that blue one beside it tho, it looks far too busy, and idk wrong colour to match the black and grey or something. maybe just me but i don't think it looks right. but then it is a wip, so anything could happen.

Looks to me as though the black/grey one is unfinished and just a (very nice) base layout, I'm sure both will look awesome together when it's filled in.

You are probably right about the wall texture being a bit cluttery. I'll try to tone it down a bit. But the other texture is a wip and mostly just solid color for the time being. Thanks for the input though!

I did an STL check and there are no errors. I converted it to an editable mesh. Your help is really really appreciated. Quick question to anyone who can answer: Using BlueStreak, what should I tick before I export a bsp? Just to make sure? Do I need vertex weights or streaming with MAXScript Listener? Cos last time I unticked those 2. Edited by Petera275 on Jun 9, 2012 at 04:18 PM

the model in question would be way to high poly though if I went fully to the concept art so I will probably only be doing the basic structure shape and whatever else I can fit in to keep polies at least reasonable.

Just about finishing up the Halo 2 Elite tags. There's quite a bit more going on, but it's tentative to say the least, I'm not exactly known for finishing projects on time.

I meant the Halo 2 pistol you had here. We have decent Halo 3 pistols already (although yours have lights, and lights are cool), but the best H2 magnums we have are these. P:
