i have models for the destroyer too, but its over 110 thousand polygons :(. the sovereign class reaper had way too many polys for ce, i had to greatly reduce it. it looks great from far away, but up close you can see imperfections from where the optimizer removed verts, but then again, who would want to get up close to a sky scraper sized reaper? its down to around 29 thousand polys now

personally, using either target weld or collapse seems to have a better result than using the optimizer tool. especially if the details are in the texture, where you can go ahead and easily cut out small details and flatten them. It may take longer, but the result has always seemed to work well for me. Try it out and post some results, i'm intrested in seeing where this might go
