I'll help tag it, I'm really good with physics and confident that i can get them almost exactly like reach. I'll go start on the physics now and use the hornet as a base then i'll post an xfire vid and link you to it, i'll also be looking for you on xfire.

If you set the vehicle type to human plane, then you can use space bar to go up and crouch to descend. I was also under the impression that the climb rate was set up through the physics somehow, but it would otherwise fly as a pelican. No strafe though :(

I have superposed the blue and cyan texture in the model :


And i set the framebuffer fade source on A for Blue and B for Cyan :

The function A it's for blue, it appear when you enter in the vehicle :)
The function B it's for cyan, when you speed with the vehicle, the cyan appears :)

No, i disabled the boost, it and unnecessary :)

it's dope, it looks like the great journey level from H2, always wanted a custom edition map that looked like that

Edit: I was just thinkin... It'd be really cool to see someone attempt to make the Revenant! I'm horrible at modelling and stuff, or else i would try

rofl i was just about to start doing that today ill post some pics in a bit, hey can anyone get me a front and side view on the revenant for me to use i have tons of other referance pictures but those would be quite helpful

heres the first and earliest wip just for the sake of showing that ive started


yes i know that its currently two ghosts stuck together but i only did this because since the ghost already has the right curves in places i found it would be easier to do it this way. plus i wanted to try a new way to make a vehicle XD


btw im using darksoldiers h3_ghost model to do this

heres some more in progress pictures, this it nearing about 30 minutes total work time


wireframe as well


yes i am using blender for this, its much easier to use than max and in the right hands can give great results.

any crit would be helpful

thanks for the side views, no progress today but i might make the double ghost later on, it would be interesting to have. any ideas for that vehicle like weapons passengers colors ect.

I'd suggest either a small plasma mortar similar to the Revenant's or a pair of Fuel Rod Guns mounted on the back of the vehicle. You could also go with some sort of plasma turret mounted on the hood in front of the passenger seat.

On another note: Does anyone know how to make a vehicle marked as an alien scout have an idle animation, a speeding animation, a straithing animation, and a steering animation?
