I think that a fast walking animation is okay, because if it ties through with the sound of the footfall, but this one is a little ..um.. 'swingy'? it accentuates it a bit much and makes it seem a bit like it's been sped up, perhaps. Looking neat so far though, can't wait to see more!

Patch? You're kidding right? Real crit: get moar vies and angles of it. Also you got way more Tries then you actually need. And for all that is good an unholly REMOVE THAT SMOOTHING!!!! It looks terrible. Also I don't see what you are going to do with the back of the 47 as far as sealing it up and such. I am of course assuming that you are trying to get this into Halo which would mean that you really have some extra polys. You have waaaay too much detail on the stock as well.

Your fire animation should be more pronounced, so that it is noticeable even when firing fully automatic. You should also emphasize the throw animation, because right now you can barely see the arm cross the screen at all. Your reload needs more motion entirely.
Just keep practicing.

Alrighty guys the Plasma Launcher is almost PERFECT. We're just having an issue of having the charge animation to work with the actual charge. So, the issue with the Plasma Launcher at this point is one of animations. 314 made a charging animation, that works using the plasma pistols tagging, but when trying to combine it with the effect in the video, it doesn't seem to be possible. Does anyone know if it would be possible to link an overcharge animation with the tagging seen here? http://www.xfire.com/video/526009/

Don't give up. You just gotta keep practicing to get better. Also, 10,000th post. Will edit later.
It seems you have the basic outline down and your poly distribution is okay, although you don't need quite as many polies on the main body of the gun, unless they're there for adding detail later on. Right now, since they don't change the shape of the model, they're being wasted.
But yeah, everyone has the potential to be good at modelling, you just have to keep practicing. My first model was terribad, but I kept at it and now I'm pretty decent if I do say so myself. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Jan 6, 2012 at 03:39 AM
