There's nothing wrong with profanity. I quite enjoy listening to Stephen Fry on the subject. It's a part of life, everyone curses sometime. The sad truth is that profanity is used inappropriately and far too often, sometimes even as a pose to actual logic - just mindless bombardment of "strong" insult. Profanity is looked down upon because of little 5 year old kids who think it okay to swear every other word.
Now, back on topic, any weapon stuffs? I quite like the new CMT assault rifle textures. Edited by Petera275 on Oct 13, 2011 at 11:46 AM

On topic: As a response to your question: i am making a new, custom, super weapon. i will show more details on it later when the model and animations are finished. Anyone else have anything good for teh thread?

Anyways, I have been wondering if somebody had the nerve to modify the old M60. Its firing system is fine, but the model is poop smeared into the carpet, and somebody is cleaning it with a piece of shrimp. Here are some refrances: 1. 2. 3. The last picture was of me in my squad. Hellos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX-kB-Qh-34 ^Did this one a long time ago but never got around to showing it. To be honest, I didn't remember it until I dug through my videos earlier today lawls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2awjqyEenK0^Did this one yesterday night (hooray for very early mornings). Homecoming week -> one week of free time before a lovely football game and dance -> whatever this abomination is. Keep in mind that I haven't animated in a while and that I have noticed several issues involving timing, but I couldn't be arsed to re-render cuz of how effing long it takes. and now I will resume being dead. Edit: No more auto-linking URL tags? sadface. Edited by Gamma927 on Oct 23, 2011 at 04:22 AM

It looks pretty good. I suggest more detail on the back of the gun, on the more circley bit, and try not to make the gray parts as gray. I don't have a contrast picture, but seems pretty off. Nice work, though.

The hand looks wiered because it's using halo 3 arms. I would of true to rig blackops one but did not have the model. Thanks btw Edited by Cheddars on Oct 24, 2011 at 06:22 AM

F10 (or FN+F10, depending.), opens up the render settings. In the bottom left corner it should say "Camera0) or whatever your camera is called, if it says "Perspective" click on it and a drop-down list should... drop down. On this list select the camera you're using, and then click the render button (NOT F9). Bam, done. Not too shabby, btw. Sincerely,
Amazingcuziam

What is it? And no I am not kidding I seriously don't know what it is/supposed to be. I haven't played WaW or Blops. Seriously. It looks cool though except the lighting makes it look a little odd. Maybe just the relativity low-rez render.

You can change the perspective view to the FP view by hitting C and selecting the FP camera, or hit f10, then at the bottom there will be a drop down box to select what viewport to render from. Or you can just click on a viewport and it will automatically switch it. Edited by UnevenElefant5 on Oct 24, 2011 at 11:34 PM

Very good overall especially for your first model. Can you render it with a wireframe as well so we can see your poly distribution?
Right now all I can say is those little circle bolt things could probably be removed entirely or at least you could remove a few sides. Theres also a smoothing error near the front of the gun, on that extrusion on the side, near the barrels. Speaking of barrels, you also don't need to model the inside of the barrels, since the player never sees it.

I honestly think that it adds to the weapon if you actually model parts the player may never see, but on close inspection one can see the detail, and realize how much work went into the model. Looks really good!
