Left this a while back. Am currently redoing it as a little project just for fun. Still a few minor details to do. Never been an animator though. Maybe it would be time to learn.

EDIT: Oh, and ignore some of the smoothing groups. Don;t know what the hell happened to a few of them but whatever. I'll fix em when I am closer to a final model.

For Reach AR:
Nice walking animation!
The reload animation could use some work. Maybe tweak where he puts the magazine?

They're nice, Grenade launcher reload doesn't have enough force to it, make it look like the closing has a clip, so it flicks back and connects.

Just for future reference, it's really hard to give crit on animations shown through xfire. It's a lot easier for people to see the animation if you render it out and upload it somewhere.

It isn't his, it's one that Teh Lag made and released so now everyone uses it. Hell, we're even using it in the SPv3 animations.

The only thing I really have to say about the animations is to just work on defining motions more. Make things have a purpose/weight instead of moving from point A to B.

@ desert eagle. I remember when i played with a D-eagle, the inner barrel was hexagonal or something like this. It was in .44mag (biggest civil authorized caliber in France :3 ).

How about a .5 with simmunition? Does that count? That was a while ago though. I do remember I almost broke my arm. Those are big bullets. They are very large pistols. Also pretty heavy. 44MN is no fun anyway.... 50AE is the way to go...

Why almost? N-gons?
No, it's just that someone's done what you're doing already, which is kinda saddening.

This might help you.

Why would that help him? It is not a tutorial, nor is it a particularly impressive animation set. What might ACTUALLY help, is this http://www.youtube.com/user/t3hlag

These tutorials are pretty articulate. I recommend them for any beginning animators. The animation sets on this channel are also very good, and worth learning from.

Watch ImBrokeRU's animation tutorials, he really explains a lot (curve editor, setting up the scene, ik controllers/constraints, etc), and even about adding force to your animations, etc.

although, let me clarify that i understand your sarcasm and the joke. and the model it's self looks decent, but a wireframe would be nice so you can fix the technical issues.

Yeah that's true. To be honest, I thought to be the first one to start modelling the plasma repeater, just when i send a progress picture. Someone else has already finished it.

I made a

bad one in 15 minutes in October.

That plasma repeater is gone, I deleted max and scrapped that model a while ago which is why I didn't post a wire (didn't render one with it yet).. so you should keep working on yours. It probably be way better then mine was. >.>
