Is this any better? The wire frame is now a jumbled mess but I believe all of the N-gons are gone.

Also, I was experimenting with the front grip at the time and I just forgot to hide it before doing the wire frame and render so just ignore the odd shaped box on the end.

Get rid of all those extra polys as much as you can.

Hey guys, been working on the needle rifle. I know it's terribly boxy, but since school break's started, I can get down and finally de-boxify it, and lower polys, and scale it. BTW the top bit was rushed so it's not much other than a placeholder... so far. So... yeah, here are pics:
I really suck at rendering, since I just started a graphics this year... but the last pic is what I'm trying to aim for in FP.

Do you think there's anything I might've missed?

E: Yeah pretty sucky, I know, but I'll do some more work on the midsection and top bit.

They can practice their modeling, and you can practice your penmanship.
EVERYBODY WINS!

You can practice to shut up. It is readable, and I don't care.

Why are you posting it here, if you do not want it to be criticized?
Besides, my crit is all valid.
Wow, your so called "crit" was just you telling him his hand-writing is bad, which it isn't. Your "crit" on his hand-writing is invalid, unless you show me a degree in writing/penmanship along with a birth-certificate and a drivers license, which i don't think you'll do, no? and before you pull the idiot move "BUT BUT BUT HUNTER DUSNT NO ANYFING ABOWT TEH MODELZINGZORZ", he does, last i remember he was going to school or uni, or whatever they call it, for 3d modeling (yes?). Thank you, come again. Please feel free to correct anything incorrect (i mean anything about hunter, that i was misinformed about.)

LMAO - Wow, fail kid. | Look guyz, some kid who wants to be smart and try and give me crap? :L

Listen, child. This is a WIP for WEAPONS, so ONLY 3d models/concepts ect for weapon art should be given crit.

Second, this forum is based around game modding. Funny enough, game modding has nothing to do with handwritting as it is not a professional business.

Now if I was writting a book, and on a forum which provides support for that then your so called "crit" will be valid.

At the moment it has F all to do with anything, and you making a laughing stock of your self with that comment. You a annoyed kid who I have once given crit, so you decide to cry and attempt to make a whitty response?

--------------

And to answer your question "Why are you posting it here, if you do not want it to be criticized?" - THAT is MY crit on the model's. Which is what this topic and entire forum is for. You, are some outcast who decided to come in here and try and compensating for your organ size.

And why is he sticking up for me? Because him, and probably almost everyone else will see that your comment is, pathetic, fail and wrong. And inappropriate. Even the people who dislike me will also think this but will not say this.

sup anyway, u mad bro?

How is my crit invalid? Why are you defending him from my crit? Are you two secret butt buddies?

I never said it was bad. I just said it needed improvement. I do not see why you are so hostile.
Simple, you were saying his penmanship was bad (or, needs improvement, IE is bad.), when your in no position to say such a thing. Secondly, i wasn't defending him from it, i'm just bored and figured i might as well jump in, and see how you take it. Third, what even is a "butt buddy"?

Fourth, you didn't "say" it was bad, but it was implied. Lastly, i'm not hostile, this is actually a fairly good mood, it can come much worse from me.

Man I love this place....

I will say hunter your handwriting isn't all that great but well... the crit is valid. As far as I can read anyway.

And the needlergun needs more details. Looks like chamfer boxes to me. a bunch of em.

^^ Pretty much...
I didn't smooth the needle rifle at all, so that's why all the smoothing errors are there.
The horrid boxyness will be fixed up as much as I can.
The grey bit I actually took from the needler and modified (Hiralis' idea)
Thanks for reminding me I need to detach the disk. (for animations right?)
So, yeah, that leaves alotta stuff to do. Keep in mind this is like my 3rd or 4th weapon model ever. So I'm still a rookie.

E: fixed the 3rd. I just woke up...

I know it isn't smoothed. But you need to fix that area where I said smoothing error as it will get smoothing errors when smoothed.

And fair enough about the boxiness.

And I said detach it as the way it is attached is bad and caused error's as the triangles are placed badly. Detaching it will make the mesh more simple.

His penmanship is irrelevant. Besides, he most likely did it on a tablet which tends to be a little more slippery than paper.

This is a Wookie Bowcaster for a Star Wars weapon set I am working on.

It is obviously not quite done, I still need to add some minor details (and I never smooth models till I am done)

But I was wondering if anyone had any advice, criticizm, insults, etc...

Mostly I just need to know if people think it looks good. (so thanks for your opinion)

The tagset shouldn't take to much longer, this is that last model that I need to make.

2 barrels, 2 magazines, and only one trigger?
It looks incredibly uncomfortable to hold and really bulky.
