I guess this post falls under a "weapon" WIP since these are FP animations... As some people know I've been fixing up the CMT elites for release as a playable biped (Jesse posted the HUD Masterz and I came up with). I recorded myself doing animations for the Rocker Launcher with the FP rig I made for the project, and Il Duce Primo said this would be the kind of thing that people here might like to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qL0Bgj-h4w4 - Part 1 (Origins, Idle, Fire, Ready, Melee, Nade) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MWDcmzsX5A - Part 2 (Posing, Reload Full+Empty) I hope these are useful to someone. BTW what song was that in the first vid? lol (a little off topic here) Edited by teh lag on Mar 21, 2010 at 10:14 PMEdited by eliteslasher on Mar 22, 2010 at 12:44 AM

I've uploaded another video of FP animating - this time the Flamethrower. Origins, idle, moving, ready, melee, grenade and posing are covered, and I plan on doing the reload by the end of the week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArVC72YFxjYQuote: So this is what y'all have been doing. The brutes will get retouched like everything else I'm going to be releasing (and already have been retouched to an extent, but that's for another discussion). Discovered the beauty of the Swivel Angle feature for IKs. Just messing around with it. I know the wrists are clipping, just practicing... Based on the new Reload_Empty you can see from the Once More Unto The Breach vidoc on the monitor in the background, wonder if anyone else noticed it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5kkW2CrUFg6:06 to be specific Edited by Marka Haiyana on Mar 24, 2010 at 01:20 AM

clip falls out too slowly given the force he seems to have used to push it out. also its way too obvious you're putting in the same clip... its like he caught it and put it back in or something. also, gunblade update: http://www.xfire.com/video/25a137/

Edited by doompig444 on Mar 24, 2010 at 03:53 AM because they suck and annoy me and are build for controllers and not mouse and keyboard except for the moving. Overlays and moving are drastically important for a set of animations, they give the weapon an even more unique feel varying from animator to animator. They also just make it flow much better. How could anyone like a gun that just sits there in the idle animation and doesn't move at all when they look or walk around?

I agree with doom, move the origins a tad forward. Dunno about up though. Show more of the gun, but don't let it block your view.
Come to think of it, move it a bit leftish too. It's at a pretty extreme angle. Edited by Marka Haiyana on Mar 25, 2010 at 02:04 AM

Angle the gun towards the right, and move the gun towards the left. Though in perspective view, the gun may not be pointed towards the center, it'll provide the illusion that it does in the first person origins.
