it's a grenade launcher, you shove it open and plop a new round inside. it's a seperate attachement so you dont have to make it.

btw i hope you're going to work on the proportions, cus the screwholes are much larger aswell as the barrel

also, model the trigger, makes it imaginable how one would hold/fire it lol

e1: it says on the website where you got the image from: "Near final concept of one of our Assault Rifles. Shown here with extensions; Light, G-Launcher, ER-Scope"
so yes it's a flashlight

It is an interesting design, but it feels really flat. Even if that is the way the blueprint shows, it could use some creative depth

some ergonomic gripping around the handle and such could be nice. Also it may help to actually model the magazine well. Something tells me that that area could be visible to the player in game with this particular design

Wow! That really looks good. However, the butt end looks like in needs maybe some more detail. Also, is there going to be a sight of any kind? Top looks like it needs more. Sort of bland there.

Make indentations for the stock , make a scope , and model a grip.
The only thing that i Dislike would be the strange part where the stock connects to the body of the rifle.

I am ignorant when it comes to guns.
I am not sure what you mean by,"Make indentations for the stock"
I will make iron sights, because i dont like the scope in the ref, and i dont plan to add zoom to the gun.
The grenade launcher is where the grip should be i think, i will model that and its trigger next.

I know that connecting part looks odd, i agree
Thanks for your input.

Sorry, I probably wasn't too clear on that. What I am saying is have decorative inset lines on the stock. It would be fine without it, but it's just a suggestion.

lookin better. Now I would think it could use some ergonomics around where the supporting hand grips. Not like finger indents, but maybe similar to the battle rifle's grip. Also the top is sort of a pattern of indentations. It could use something to break the norm, maybe some rails and a red dot sight?

The supporting (left) hand position seems like it would be akward.
Would you always have a finger on the nade trigger?
I dont see a comfortable way to hold that part. I should modify it a bit?
Rail and iron sights on top makes sense for a non zooming ar right?

with the nice roundness of the grenade launcher, the side and top are now looking really flat.

I spend maybe an hr or 2 on it at night, so maybe 1 or 2 days to finish model, 1 day to unwrap,2 days to skin?
Then i will be looking for someone to tag and animate it.
Then it will be released.
