is it mirrored onto the left side as well? if it is, i hope you smooth those edges out because stuff like that can look sucklicious if there are harsh 90 degree edges like that. lol sucklicious...

All of those ODST pistols could look a ton better in-game. It's basically H2 Magnum animations with a newer, Halo3 model. Also, the faster you pull the trigger, the faster the shots are. Y'all are treating like it's an exact copy to Halo1's pistol with a different model, when it's a bit different.

Also couldnt decide how I was going to do some of the parts. You may notice it isnt a replicate of the proper one, because that would be boring. It is about 60% finished. Yeah, most people are just importing the Halo 1 model and adding the silencer on the end... I have re modelled all of mine using ODST Magnum references. It is a really boring weapon. You make me proud bud. Glad to have had a hand in helping you develop your skills. That being said both origins are terrible.
Just kidding. Origins are nice, but practice your motions some more! I've found it helps a lot to treat every important frame as an origin. For example, the frame of grabbing that AK's magazine, or the bolt.

Yeah, after I finish the total animation I tend to go back and work on the fingers and things to make them look nice. I'm paranoid of clipping as well that I have to sacrifice part of myself just to get a finger to look better than it would if it didn't clip.

It LOOKS like there are some smoothing errors, but its probably the render. Back part may be a little too far back, or at least needs more support underneath.
Otherwise, you should get that skinned ASAP. Its awesome.

Difference between mine and yours is, that, when I added stuff, I made sure it was the same based off of ODST's version. The only thing that can be argued that doesn't make mine like the ODST one is that I left out some details for textures. Yours on the other hand, has wrong detail just like the guy who posted the last one. The extrudes at the top of the guys gun thing is extruded partly right, but doesn't finish off, making it wrong. And so on and so forth. So hunter, if you want to be an ass, don't repeat the same mistakes you did with your other account. The melee needs to look like it has more force into it and you need to actively look like the hand is pulling back the pistol's back area.

And half the details which you have on yours are not needed. There just a load of extruded boxes all over it. Also I do not recall me being an ass. All I see is me giving you some hardcore facts. And no, mine is not that hot. Can't really make something look hot when the design is not hot. Oh and mine was just a quick side project, I did not sprend long on it at all. ================================================= Edit: You know that picture you posted? http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn159/Joshflighter/halo3odstmagnum.jpgWell, I think you will find that I did fix some things on my model which you pointed out... so... Quote: --- Original message by: Silent STRKRhttp://www.xfire.com/video/e6ae0/ sorry about the quality but I can't upload the higher quality video anywhere. Crit on anims please Here's a tip: Try moving your fingers, don't just leave them in the position they were at origin. Also, never have a movement of frames where there is only rotation. Have just a bit of movement, and then the animation won't look so strange...somewhat. I suggest you don't reload the weapon that way either, as it's really unnatural to put the pistol so high up in the air when there isn't a need for force when you have the clip fall out. Just move it up slightly and rotate it back a bit and to the right, then about 10-15 frames later, have the hand put in another mag, having some decent resistance with the gun instead of having it sit there. Study up on Halo 1/2/3's pistol reload, and you'll see it's much more detailed than you think.
