Way too snappy. Imagine in your head how you would reload the gun, and mimic it.

Added chamber and better magazine to pistol.

http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/4818/sniperwireframe.jpg <-- wireframe of Sniper

Those are not your models, there obviously ripped from halo 2. aside from that terrible scope you made.

obviously.
For all we know, he probably didnt even make that scope, coulda downloaded from Turbosquid or something.

Why the hell every time I model something you think it's ripped?! what the heck man. I did model those myself; I DO NOT rip other peoples content nor do i use free models in my mods.

Good boy :)

Cool, but that wouldn't really camouflage you in a snowy environment.

But this will.

It was easy to tell, the way the gun was modelled, then looking at the scope, which is just a cylinder with some rings of verts scaled in the middle and 2 spheres for lenses. Anyone who can model a gun should know that you don't need the two spheres, you only need 1/2 of a sphere for the lense you look into and you certainly don't need a seperate one on the front side that you never see.

Also because the sniper is un-triangulated, while the scope has no visible triangles in the wireframe.

The actual biped is disproportionate according so chiefs bones, so I assume it would be nearly impossible to get a rig without the stretching verts.

Needler unwrap needs work, it's just on a default crappy unwrap like everyone got that unwrap

it's called effort to actually make it work, this is just a cheap rig without any effort to make it fit

instead, you could scale it, modifie the proportions a bit to make it work neatly.

but meh, if you want to keep rips at default, then i can imagine why everyone thinks it's cheap, there's not much work to put in such ripping.

yes before you say it, i am aware of several issues here
1. there were at least two kinds of thompsons. i have combined elements from the military ones used in world war two and the civilian ones.
2. the rails and the acog should be in proportion, but im pretty sure the thompson is scaled up too much to be on scale with the rails and acog (if anybody wants to donate accurate refs...)
3. the front grip is not actually attached to a normal grip on the actual thompson, and there are no rails on a thompson. im aware of this, and i have what i have for a reason.
4. you can see the wireframe of the stick magazine on the inside of the trigger guard. this is because when i applied the push modifier to the mesh for the wireframe in the render made it seem like the meshes intersect incorrectly. they dont.
5. there are no details on the back of the thompson drum. the side that you would see if you were holding the weapon. does anybody have a reference for this?

E: and how does a thompson eject casings? like, from where? does anyone have any references?

Jesus donut. I am a fan of the thompson, I have a few things to say.

The military used round drums on the thompson before in WW 2 but it wasnt widely used.
http://www.sstotenkopf.net/ThompsonM1a1.jpg
See were the clip is. Look above it. Thats were the bullets eject.

ah thank you sir. i had a hunch that the shells ejected there, but i couldnt back that up with references. you wouldnt happen to have a reference of the user facing side of the drum magazine, would you?

Well maybe make a blackish Thompson, add some steel in some steel in some places and it may just look a little better for you.

ignore the attachments for now. the scopes i modeled before and the rails and all that have a place. i need to get everything in the correct proportions.

it all has a purpose. there is a reason that i put an acog scope on a thompson
E: and its going to be black like this -> http://www.restlessadventurer.net/guns/tommygun/thompson.jpg
