Another question: Can you give objects (bipeds) Active camouflage by using a script? Like a script command that uses the "cheat_active_camouflage" command or something like it to give something besides the player active camouflage.

Your not to bright yourself.

Just read what DarkLord0912 said above^^

It's an actor_variant not a biped,bipeds alone cant have active camo,it's not a glass shader.
and there are no script commands that give an object active camo.And if you use vehicle options,the biped is missing key things that would make it behave like a vehicle.

What has asmt done to prove it's talent? The member has every right as you do to ask for a request. There are people in this forum that can do more things than your entire team combined. You are also breaking that rule too, where it says, members must not insult the person making a request.

Spartan314 is a respected member of this forum and half the people here don't even know who the hell you are. Even though he did break the rule in the first place you have no right to call him a retard.

As for the request id be happy to help if you gave the models after I finish a few projects.

It seems you guys (Opensuace Devs) did a really good job I'll give you that,it's a step in the right direction,but!

I did notice using normal maps on dynamic objects has the depth correct but the X and Y normals dont seem to change at all.

Simply but for those who read this and dont understand,X,Y,Z coordinates are assigned X = red channel of the normal map,Y = the green channel of the normal map,and Z = the blue channel.

Now I did notice the blue channel the "Z" works great,but however the other channels seem to stay the same.

I was just wondering if you guys are aware of this,or plan on fixing or what?

If you need evidence of this,and just think Im blowing smoke please just drop a line.

Oh wait I've seen what your talking about before,I got a biped here @halomaps and one of the shaders had all white in it.

radiosity properties right...

Yeah I just thought that the person didn't know what they were doing becuase the biped shaders sucked :/ no offense.


I've only set those properties when you do lighting on bsp's,not sure why people set it on dynamic objects like characters??

No ShadowSlayer's collision geometry he mad always made the game exception,so now he's letting DarkLord0912 make the collision mesh and effects for the H3 scarab.

I've updated the shaders for ShadowSpartan.

I redid alot of the textures that are from Halo 3 and made them were they follow Halo 1's rules now.

Theres still work to be done though.

So I figured to let everyone know Shadows scarab is coming along nicely.




DarkLord0912 dude you did a really good job on the shaders hope you and ShadowSlayer finish this.

Gotta say those dont look nothing like Normals,I think at best you guys made a bump mapping shader not a normal shaders.

To be honest it looks like there fakebumped.

Not hating on the team and project Im glad you guys are back and all but really...
