The only Bloodgulch mod, that I like, is my own.
I really just made it because I wanted to push the standard Halo weapons and vehicles to the limits (see how powerful I could make them without crashing the game).
I don't think I'll ever publicly release it though...but I plan to use the weapon and vehicle tags from it as 'Easter Eggs' for my future maps.
You could make the plasma plasma pistol able to pick up ammo...and have an ammo respawn in front of it...
another thing it could do is recharge shields...not sure if it would work in mp though...

To be honest I kinda liked the object oriented setup of vb...but c++ is definitely a better language for building a script editor for reasons I wont go into...

did you mean "C++" or "C#"? I'm just curious...it doesn't really matter...the same methods should apply to almost all programming languages.

Download this: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2028 Open the bitmap of the skin of the actor variant save it as a file type that you can open in a picture editor (mspaint, pdn, gimp, etc...) open it and edit it to be what ever color you want (if its black and white you can apply Sepia to give it some color then adjust the hue to get the color you want.) save it as a .tif (NAME IT SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL) recompile it with tool now you can either swap it out for the original bitmap OR edit the shader to use your new version (or make a new shader - you will have to make/edit several files if you make a new one but then you can have both colors).

Making Halo maps helps build the skills you need for "digital design, architecture, game designer/engineering and CGI Movie production and effects." What better way to learn about a program than to use it to make maps for a game? And who says that's all we are gonna use it for? Chances are that if someone is REALLY into making halo maps, that they will likely go into one of those fields.

Post anything you can think of, however I'm not gonna guarantee that all "evil" scripts will be included, a few would be nice though.
Edit: As of right now I would prefer useful scripts.

For really advanced scripts I used to go to EHSv2... however some of the scripts in that program have their flaws...

Yeah I know the GUI sucks, I just want to get the programming done. Then I'll worry about the GUI. And yeah HaloGuru's was better, but he didn't finish it. EHSv2 was a good tool, however it could've been a lot better (had more scripts).

I honestly can't believe I clicked on this topic, but since I'm here I may as well put in a few words.
1. Ripping is fine if you are doing it for yourself (because no one knows about it). Its when you publicly release it (in a map/mod or a pointless forum post) that it becomes stealing.
2. If you are going to take the easy way out and rip from someone else's map (instead of learning how to do 3d modeling) then ATLEAST ask for permission. Did you even try to contact Kenny?
3. If you really think that he wouldn't care, then why not ask him?
4. And what was that about you being against ripping and now you're trying to defend it? You're such a hypocrite.
5. If the community NEEDED more content they would ask OR (even better) MAKE IT THEMSELVES!
6. If you can't figure out something (in this case 3d modeling) then ASK! It's what these forums(and tutorials) are here for!
I am currently working on a new halo scripting utility. I would just stick to EHS, but development on that Utility seems to have ceased. The application is currently called "Halo Script Builder" - I don't have much for imagination...so if someone else can give it a better name that would be great.

Looks like a cool program. The one I'm working on is gonna be a mix between that and EHS. I'll post a thread about it soon, not a whole lot too show right now. And I already started my project so I'm gonna finish it.

not that I know of...though I think I'm gonna try to make one at some point...it'll be a while though, I have too many projects at the moment (halo scripting utility and a mod of New Mombassa for Cops-N-Civs).
