but yea i would trust you with a beta, if i do a beta. I really want this to be pretty much a complete map before i let anyone play it. I am not one of those people who believe in all that Beta 1, Beta, 2, Beta 3, and so on with maps. I just wish my bro liked the map, he hates it. Well he just hates boaring action, he just can't play the map for some reason.

i only want people to play something good. I will only let people play something that i am satisfied with. It won't be a beta to me when i am ready to let people play it. Using the term Beta really suggests an uncomplete map which i don't want.

this map will be my first released mod. Even if it turns out people don't want to play it or whatever i will be satisfied that it's a complete work. thats why i don't like the beta stuff.
i am glad you understand my reason, well at least i think you do, or now you do. whatever it is lol

ill be testing the smg tags tommorow. i looked in the files and it looks okay, but ill be 100% sure tommorow.

making bsp's suck ROFL, it can be a real pain. I just can't do it, well can't is really the wrong word. But what i mean is it's hard for me, really cause i can never get an idea going or get inspired to make a bsp. It worked out good for me to just stop trying to map. lol ill form a modding team (im not serious) HMT (halo modding team lol, again not serious).

spacemaps are pretty rare actually.

i am going to try those tags you sent me now, i have a good feeling that they will work.

EDIT: yes thanks very much the duel smg tags do work with right sounds in my map. the triggers are backwards but i may be able to fix that, but it not it don't matter. it won't effect gameplay. I got a few more things to do to the mod and then i will be finished. i got to fix the single smg sounds (thats easy), and do some other minor things. I also got to add a health kit or two, and then decide on the starting equipment for slayer. I decided not to do king of the hill, race or oddball or the other game types. They just would not flow on a map like boarding action.

yep that is very true. plus boaring action oddbal sucks. People just get it and jump off the side of the map to get a few seconds in before they die. Anoying as heck.

i am going to most likely finish my mod by monday or tuesday depending on how busy my weekend gets. Then i got to work on the dreaded readme lol.

for helping me though ill let you get a look at my mod before ill upload it to halomaps.

instead of using nades? i am using the fusion cores as a replacement for nades. It makes the begining of a match exciteing, after 5 or so minutes the fusion cores would be gone. I blew the crud out of my bro shooting at a fusion core while he was near it.

looks like we are both interested in each others mods.

your map will be okay with nades cause their won't be able to just pelt people with nades.

in my map i tried adding a pelican flyby animated scenery but it just did not flow right.

you can get the tag from the map virus island if you wanted to check it out.

i was but the animated scenery came in at such a wierd angle, the marker for it and it's bath was at a wierd angle. Even when i tured it the pelican would just fly right though one side of the ships or another. So it turned out to not be able to do what i wanted.

it would be cool if a vehicle could fly through the middle,then hover there. just the right size to fit through, but big enough that you can walk across it to the other side. it only stays for a few seconds, then flies away. comes back every so often. might be hard though.

yes it would be. It would have to be a animated scenery with collision, might even require scripting.

ok i got the single smg sounds fixed, i still got to try to switch the triggers for the duel smg's and also populate the map with a few duel smg's so people can get more ammo if they want. Oh yes i still need to do health kits, i decided not to put stealth or an overshield in the map. Ok i made it so there is not so much an error when you zoom with the singe smg. But it's projectile is so thin it's pretty easy to avoid. It still is not effective at long range. Might be good to explore fuel cells.

for slayer i am going to start people off with my recharging ammo assault rifle. And for CTF you spawn with Duel Smg's.

population can be a very big pain i know, my mod really has limited scenery. Most of the scenery on boaring action just gets in the way anyhow.

he is doing a mod of the map asteroid i think he has settled on using it.

yes you need to turn off gravity in sapien to move things easier. I used to have to mess with the possition values before i found out about the gravity thing.

yes you still will have to move the point up, you are correct. But not every piece of scenery is like that.

i got sort of busy today so i can't work on my map, but i will be able to finish it up tommorow i believe.

Edit: btw iron, you remember how the duel smg's fired with right click firing the left smg and the left click fireing the right side smg. Well i fixed that. I just had to make the primary trigger the secondary fire effect and the secondary the primary fire effect.

also i kept zoom (x2) on the single smg and made it fire without error when on zoom. however with it's recoile it still is better used at close range. the zoom may be good to just hit the enemy a few times so a friend can finish the enemy off. i also got to make the standard assault rilfe recharge a little bit faster.
