I am making some good progress on my single player experience mod to a map. I finally got the first encounter how i want it except for one ai.

I am trying to get a grunt into a covie turret. But when i make the command list for the vehicle (any seat) and let my radius to 20 units after i assign it to a grunt it does not work. The grunt just shows up dead next to the turret.

how do i correctly set up a command list to make my grunt get in and be a gunner

EDIT: I got it now, i just extracted the scenario of Area 53 to see how they did the gunners. I did not put a command point block originally and now i did..my mod is looking kind of cool, though it's far from done

You may have to make new animations, unless you make the grunt use the covenant gun turret animations. Changing that is easily done in HHT.

i know it works but i got a new issue now.

turns out i can't have respawn off if i want the grunt to work in the covie turret. I am using the covie turrent.

It was working 100% right but now it isn't at all.

I now made the gunner a seperate encounter but it just won't get in the turret. anyone know what i could be doing wrong now?

now i am pissed i am doing the same thing as before when it was working, now it just isn't. I have checked and rechecked and repeated the same things and it's not going. Someone please help clue me in.

when you made the comman list did you allow initiative? dont. and you should be able to spawn one guy and have him get in the turret. if that doesnt work. slap a name on the little prick and script him to get in the turret .

It's not working, for some reason when i give the grunt the command he just stands there. I did not do the allow initiative, i made the command point and all that stuff. He just won't do it.

so i can script this?

how would i script it into a riped map, as i am editing a map. I have not seen a single tut on how to compile a script using a riped scenario, i have not found a grunt covie turret scriping tutorial. anyone got clues how i can do this.

I got this now, i fixed it. Turns out i was doing everything right but one thing. I did not set my gunner grunts team index to covie side so the other grunts were killing it so i thought it died trying to get into the turret. So i got that fixed.

However my AI shoots like dummies, even two covie turrets are wortless. They just pebble shoot at me which makes me mad. I want them to fire better, 90% of the time the AI miss me. And no it's not cause i am a good player..cause im not really.

someone help me get my AI to shoot better
