i followed a tutorial to make some custom pickup icons for my weapons. I succeeded in making 2, and the third one is what's setting me off. It happened to the 2nd one, and now the 3rd one: i make it, EXACTLY like how it says in the vid, but when i load up the map i test it out in, the pickup icons are all messed up--ie. the BR has L button, R button, and A button as it's pickup icon.

it did this while i was making the pickup icon for my second weapon (the battle rifle), but then i managed to get it right.

Now i'm onto the SMG, and it's doing the same thing... (strange thing is the first weapon icon i did i got it right the first time)

what are some common mistakes that people make that cause this?

Bump again. I had something similar happen to me except with a string list, in particular the one with all the weapon names. I added a few names and everything was working fine until I added just 1 more name, then everything screwed up (e.g picking up a rocket launcher would say "picked up a battle rifle") can someone please explain what's going on? Sorry for threadjack but thought that these problems would have the same explanation for both of them

Thanks. Is there any way to know where the icons or texts belong to which exact index number in the list?

Look at the sequence index numbers on the .bitmap.

0 corresponds to 0, ect

Once you have more than about 25ish sequences in a bitmap, wonky things start to happen...

Yes.. what I meant was how can I find out which index number corresponds to which bitmap once you have hit past ~25 bitmaps? Can I use like a hex editor or open the tag in notepad or something and find the proper index numbers through that?
