***If your gonna make this map, you gotta know how to make teleports (like the ones in coldsnap that when you leave the hanger, or base, you get teleported to a new part of the map. If you dont, dont even bother because the map is too big.***
The basic idea of the map. The Pillar of Autumn is floating in space, and off in the distance, FAR away, is a moon. Now, unlike the pillarofautumnspace, this map has the interior of the POA. Now, the reason why i need u to know how to teleport from one point of the map to the other is because BLUE BASE is ON the moon. What i mean by this is just that u have a big open field with air vehicles and a BIG castle base on this moon. The field, instead of being green with grass, would just be white, hilly, and rocky. Now, back to the beginning. The POA. In our designing, we made it so that the spawn point was the bridge. Then, you go out, and NORMALLY, where you'd come to a room where there's just two ways to go, left or right, we made it so you can go left, right, or straight. You CAN rip the interior of the POA with the HEK, but I'd rather you didnt. Now, when you go through this straight path out from the bridge, you just go straight into a small armory, and then into the cafeteria. This armory has heavy weapons. Shotguns, Rocket Launchers, Assault Rifles, C4, and Grenades. Then, in the cafeteria, you can either use your own tables and chairs and rip the tags for the food/drink dispensary or you can just rip the ENTIRE cafeteria. Now, after that, the Cafeteria is surrounded by a long hallway which has rooms and other hallways connected to it. You can really do whatever you want with design, but, in that area with the cafeteria, there should be at least 4 armories, ya know cause people spawn there, and- its just easier to get weapons fast.

ROOMS INSIDE SHIP
-Bridge
-Armories
-Cafeteria
-Hangers
-Lifepod Launchers
-secret room in any place of ship you want with credits (two other ppl ya gotta include for design)
-Warthog Run (just rip it with HEK)
-Cryo Bay (just rip it with HEK)

VEHICLES INSIDE SHIP
-Pelicans
-Longswords
-Kestrals
-Dracos (green things)
-Warthogs
-Ghosts
-Scorpians
-Mongoose (4 wheeler)

Weapons on the Ship (armories ONLY! No weapons lying around)
-Assault Rifles (of course)
-Pistol
-Rocket Launcher
-C4
-Shotguns
-Tactical Bombs

Scenery
-Plasma Shields
-Human Barricades
-Blast Doors
-Computer Systems (On bridge, and in any other control rooms you wanna put in)
-Life Pod Airlocks

Conditions
-Ya gotta make the Life pods accessible ONLY by the Life Pod Airlocks.
-All Air Vehicles on ship have to be in the hangers.
-Make one hanger empty. This will act as "Landing Hanger for enemies."
-The ground vehicles must be placed in an organized formation like in the Maw after you get out of the elevator.
-You can put the ship together in ANY way you want, and if you MUST, rip the interior with HEK. (really rather you didnt)

GROUND BASE:
Scenery
-Huge castle base
-Brig (just make it a pit that once people jump into, they cant jump back out. (not one of those where you just fall till you die, a shallow jump) ).
-BIG white,hilly,rocky terrain (it IS a moon-a moon with gravity)
-Trenches so people can hide in and not get splattered by vehicles in. (Deep ones so that you cant just jump in- you have to take the stairs.)
-Big Hills with good advantages for snipers.
-draw bridge and mote into the castle. (draw bridge goes over a deep mote of water. Mote should be deep enough so you die if you try and cross any other way.
-Any type of landing pad to park ships.
-Shields lining the draw bridge so its hard to kill people on the bridge.
-One way sniper slits in castle so that people being sniped cant see or shoot back. (Hey- Reds have a whole ship as a base- ya gotta give the blues SOMEWHAT of an advantage.)

Vehciles
-Phantoms
-Seraphs
-Ghosts
-Wraiths
-If you can, twice-thesize-of-phantoms-covenant capitol ships

Weapons
- Plasma Rifle
- Plasma Pistol
- Plasma Grenades
- Needler

Idea with flying to the moon and back to the ship.

-Leave hanger in a ship.
-Fly out toward the moon.
-Teleport to the moon after flying toward it for 2 minutes.
-Teleport into moon's atmosphere, and land.
-Finished


Make the castle really well detailed, and remember- NO! NO! NO! GRASS ON THE PLANET! To conclude, I just hope you decide in favor of this map. It WILL, repeat, WILL be hard, and NOT a one week project- its a "FOUR MONTH" project. Anyway, im ALWAYS on Xfire when im not in school, so you can talk to me anytime you need help with details.

Tarzan, the 2 minute thing- it wasnt literal- i meant like- 30 seconds. And, thats what i mean when i say "teleport to a new part of the map". Have two different skies and then between those two, have a teleporter that teleports you back and forth between them.

not a bad idea.....but im kind of new to HEK...and i just know the basic things (teleporters, ripping w/ hek+, some texturing in 3ds max, etc)

well i was only describing the map...not going into extreme specifics. I only gave these map makers ideas. I dont even know the REAL specifics like 3ds max details. Why you think im posting my idea instead of making it myself?

i don't think this map would lag if you make it work like hugeass. if you stand in one hanger the other one is not visible so it will not lag.

well said Tarzan. and also i hate that u can only see so far on hogeass its like a huge bad point, other than the bad gameplay aspect lol.

if you have the ship placed like the Truth and Reconciliation above the map it should get rid of the two sky problem and the teleport thingy. it would also make the ship visible from the moon and vise versa. plus it would make the map smaller.

one word: portalling. you put a portaling plane over the entrance to a base and the game stops redering everthing ouside the portal. thats how you could do it. and make a custom sky so even though its not rasturising anything, it still looks like stars

well, what if, instead of being far away, we make it somewhat like hotzone, and just make the ship very high up, but not have to use the two skies? Would that work?
