Also, make sure their extension is .tif, not .tiff, as tool doesn't look for .tiff files.

Try using Pool. It acts as a wrapper to make anything involving tool easier.

Also, there are 2 bitmap compiling commands, "bitmap" and "bitmaps". The first one asks you to specify a tif file, while the other asks you to specify the FOLDER they are in. You're currently trying to use the one that asks for a folder, but you're giving it a path to a tif instead.

Make sure you move those tif files into a folder or subfolders inside the "data" one (the "data" folder is located in the main Halo CE directory). Then, compile using the right arguments. EG: os_tool bitmaps np\objects\characters\elite\hr\bitmaps\elite_chest\rd\

if anyone wants to take a look at tifs here you go http://www.mediafire.com/view/c8z4p3559c2oza5/elite_officer_chest_normal.tif http://www.mediafire.com/view/a25uo4s162kc383/elite_officer_chest_multipurpose.tif http://www.mediafire.com/file/r9ax2dw12jag4rj/elite_officer_chest_diffuse.tif

Place all of the bitmaps inside the folder DATA>Sargent0>Bitmaps So inside a folder called bitmaps, that's inside a folder called sargent0, that's inside your Halo Custom Edition DATA folder. So I click data, there's a folder called sargent0, inside that folder is one called bitmaps. Now, if you've done the above, run the commmand; tool bitmaps sargent0/bitmaps
Tool will now compile your bitmaps for you. If you have any errors your bitmaps are the wrong size or need to be compressed with an explicit alpha. Post back here if so.
