So i know this will sound silly, but some of the UI's i have stopped working

when i rename or delete ui.map in Halo CE/maps & replace it with the Reach UI file named ui.map i get an error

The error message is:
We have detected that one of the Halo PC Files is missing or corrupted. We recommend removing and reinstalling the game. (levels/ui/ui)

• i have many PC's with windows 7 & XP that i have tried this with the same error


• i have tried redownloading,hash cheking & extracting with different tools = same error


• i have tried 5 plus installs & different versions of Halo CE = same error

so plain old data corruption or system failure is not possible

i never got the Red UI to work, but i'm pretty sure i had the Reach UI working about 3 month ago & it's the second most recent UI
so is this just me? i can't think of how i could have possibly messed up of this one.

Most "traditionally compiled" maps cannot be renamed as this interferes with the checksum verification

(It does make me curious how this ended up in the archive )

i'm not sure a understand, you mean that these errors are from a name change?
if so, how can this be? they are all designed to have the name ui.map, are they not?
so the Reach UI is broken? but it's are still here?(& the Red UI)
& can i discover witch name they are compiled to have?
also is there a way to bypass this "checksum verification"

i know this if a lot of questions but i'm really what to know what happened & how to fix it.

I think all the UI files should be ui.map or UI.map last time I screwed with them...

Hell if you have the tags, just compile the UI scenario into a map and profit?
