Contrary to previous statements, I've been making loads of progress on this, in case anybody thought it was dead. I'm going to be uploading a new beta version either tomorrow for you guys to frolic around in. Maybe if you guys are lucky I'll even throw in the new Tombstone BSP I just got ingame...

Thank you! Funny you should say that; an earlier build of this project actually used No Remorse and Headlong connected together. I had a tunnel leading from Headlong into No Remorse, and No Remorse's beach was merged with that of Zanzibar. It got very fully fledged; it followed sealed world rules and was exportable before I cut that section out. Now Headlong is attached to Terminal and Ivory Tower. Speaking of which Update! I'm pushing on limits, had to strip out tags to fit within model data cap. At first it wouldn't even load the map and stay on the main screen but I re-extracted the map put it the maps folder again, then it gave me an exception.

Having played through Ive seen that my terrain portals have dramatically decreased in quality and effectiveness. Im often seeing BSP disappear out of corners of my screen. Thankfully Ive had someone kindly volunteer to focus on those, coincidentally, so they'll be able to get the attention and detail they need for BSP sections this complex; Old Mombasa has 23K vertices. Mid Mombasa has 24K.
I also found a mean piece of phantom BSP right on the ramp that connects outskirts to turf. Game breaking.
Ill upload tomorrow anyway though. Lets try it again eh?

Are you merely portaling the BSP as one giant single mesh or are you going ahead and detaching parts of it for clustering?
It seems odd that a map that looks this geometrically simple(for halo) is having problems in halo
Maybe you have too many(directly visible) portals and your character therefore can see through too many of them at once

I'll be looking for some more help going forward. Everything thus far I've done myself, one of the next big projects is BSP shaders. If there's anybody who's interested in taking those on as a project, please let me know. It is a huge undertaking, I have 4 BSPs, with 6 material groups, all with 30-70 materials. I'll be adding new BSPs that use these same shaders, and can repurpose and condense many existing materials as well.
If you think you want to take this on, send me a PM. I'd want OS shaders with specular/normal maps and appropriate corresponding data values.

Woo it works! Just had a quick play through. So the shield recharge sound has been replaced with the sprint sound Sometimes it glitches out and the sound spazzes the sprint sound, probably fixable? Maybe? I dunno.
Hoping to get a good play of this when it's not over 12 am.

Hoping to get a good play of this when it's not over 12 am. Finally! Enjoy guys I got the sound "working" morning of upload (apparently, didn't even check). I fixed together some portals for Mid Mombasa that were causing serious grief, rendered lightmaps and swapped some values in the sound tags. They aren't truly working yet though; There are also supposed to be sounds for when the shields are down, and when he's at low health. He's supposed to shout out one of his cinematic lines, "Ahh that burns! You alien bastrds", etc. It should 100% be fixable as far as the glitching. AFAI can tell, when I recover shields for longer than the sound it starts clipping. Next up is populating the remaining BSPs with new encounters. Follow that
