Happy whatever you guys celebrate. Here's a public beta of Mozzarilla. First a disclaimer, I haven't ingame-tested the tags this thing makes. Masterz was doing a lot of testing and was getting around to it, but he never said he got around to it. He DID come across quite a few bugs though, so leave the backup feature of this program on(it renames a tag with a backup extension before it makes its first edit, and doesnt overwrite the backup). This will save you from screwing up your tags if a tag definition of mine is bad.

In case you aren't aware, Mozzarilla is intended to be a replacement for Guerilla. It implements a lot of new features such as hiding fields, exporting/importing chunks of tags, customizing widget sizes, padding, and colors, and much more. There are some Halo specific tools such as a dependency viewer/tag zipper and a broken dependency scanner. Just try it out and see what you can break(just make sure to give me detailed information on what you did to break it as well as the mozzarilla.log or startup_crash.log).

Almost none of the comments have been added(and none of the tooltips), but all of the sidetips have(units and stuff) and everything is editable that needs to be. There is NO BITMAP PREVIEW OR SOUND PREVIEW for very complicated and stupid reasons that I wont go into detail about. For now, don't turn on "show invisible" because there's a bug with it I've gotta fix.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR "Tag set" PROPERLY CHOSEN. If you want to edit regular tags, select "Halo 1". If you want to edit open sauce tags, choose "Halo 1 OS". This makes a world of difference for some tags.

If you guys come across bugs, make sure to let me know. I'll update this post with information when I think of more things you need to know, but for now have fun!

Make sure you install python 3.3 or higher to run this program. Download button is near the top right.

Will the program become Python independent in the future?
Asking because I have little idea how this kind of thing works.

Nope. Just install python and double click Mozzarilla.pyw. Its not difficult or confusing. Python is just a virtual machine like Java. Just like you need java to run java programs, you need python to run python programs.

EDIT: Just finished writing routines to recalculate the physics tag's internal values when you save a physics tag, as well as implementing the actor_variant_transform_in/out tags. The definitions for those tags are untested though, so be cautious when editing those two types of tags.

Exporting block elements ? I remember dreaming of this, sounds great.
How about bookmarking tag files?

What do you mean? It records a list of "recent" tags in the file menu(default is 20 recent, but you can set it to whatever in the config).

woo woo! Can't explain enough how great this is. Makes my workflow so much faster and makes tag editing so much more powerful.

School starts back for me in exactly one week, and I wasn't actually expecting it to be that soon. I'm going to be taking a long break from working on this program after I implement the edit manager system(undo/redo), and any updates after that will be simply bug fixes(if they're significant bugs and I can patch them quickly enough). New features (search/replace, renaming tags, ripping tags from maps, etc) will be on hold for a while.

The next version that will be released will be 0.9.0, and I'll make a new thread for that since it will be a pretty significant bump up from the 0.8.22 that was released here.

If anyone knows python and wants to add comments/tooltips or write new features into the program, they are welcome to. As any python programmer knows, the program is its own source code.
