I'll speed it up.
You need to make sure you're on V1.10. At 12pm EDT there is 600 players online (peak times get up to 1000+). If you don't see this player count you're not on the right version and you need to update.
In terms of custom maps only the most popular ones are played on. Just start your own server, see who joins, or make gamenights with specific less played maps.

Oh don't say that. If the general consensus continues as it is soon there won't be any campaign mode to speak pf. Split screen is already going the way of the dodo.
And consider us loners, what would we do?
We'd be forced to take up other hobbies such as going out side and talking to people.
Gosh, the mere thought of such unspeakable acts brings an ungodly tremor to my carpal tunnel riddled bones.
