The last 5 posts have actually given me cancer.

I don't like the gameplay-altering ideas listed in the OP but what I do like is the idea of a Halo: Master Quest where all the encounters in the original campaign are redone to make the game more challenging.

Suprised no one's done this yet tbh.

Its the modified g36's which annoyed the hell out of me.

Fps scenes were pretty cool but in a movie it felt too outdrawn and implied.

And also the whole brother and sister thing at the end was soooo cringe.

I mean there is no way that blondie was the hero guys sister.

Most of the guns in the original Star Wars trilogy were dressed-up versions of real guns, though.

But flanker has more tangible progress and is funny

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure the hybrid props used in star wars were so out dated and forgotten that no one could really pick them apart piece by little piece which is what made them such great candidates IMAO. That and the amazing amount of workmanship combined with impressive attention to detail.

I'm not saying that you can't use modern day firearms as fantasy props.

For example the AUTO9 featured in Robocop was sooo obviously a Beretta 92fs but it had just enough style in its components to set it apart from its real world counterpart the 92fs.



The film Equilibrium also features modified 92fs's as the main protaganists tool of destruction yet the customization work seen within retains a cold, gothic almost scifi mystique. And may I add an air of elegance and refinement.



Ofcourse I could go on but this is not the weapons thread, hopefully my point still stands; You can make anything into a prop just so long as you put in the effort to make it so.
