I have a request for a flat plain with the tutorial texture applied, with the size being 32,000 by 24,000 by 16,000. 10 times the size of the tutorial map. I need it to be already at the step of a scenario tag. I am only requesting this because I only intend to make one very basic map, and be done, and I am tired of endlessly troubleshooting literally anything that can break.

Not looking nice is fine. I just need something that has already been compiled into a scenario. I would prefer the terrain with the paths on it, but if it's easier for you to tile, its fine. Thank you! :-)

Incorrect everyone who wants to open the max file must have 3dsmax v18 installed. Which is to imply that if you do not have max2k16 installed you cannot open the file which negates your claim that "everyone would be able to use this as they like." You can increase interoperability by saving your files into a lower version file format but I believe you would only be able to record your work to 2 stages lower.

Thanks, but when I open the scenario, I hear your music and see the sky box, but I can't see any terrain, nor can I move the camera around. I can only turn in place.

I can only turn in place. You need to run radiosity. In sapien with the scenario open hit your tilde key. Purple text should now show up. Type in: radiosity_quality 1 Then type in: radiosity_start 3 lines of numbers highlighted in white should show up, wait for them to all reach zero. Once they do hit the tilde key again and type: radiosity_save. Alternatively if you are rendering lightmaps for a comples bsp and do not have the sufficient patience to wait 50 days for your light maps to render you may interupt the light casting process by simply typing: radiosity_save at any time you wish. Ensure however that light calculation numerics do change a little, often it can be 15 - 20 minutes before a calculatory change occurs.

When I pressed enter for radiosity_start, the program froze up and stayed frozen and unresponsive all night until I killed the following morning. The three lines of numbers also froze. Not that this is your fault, but I have been trying to make a basic map model for weeks using all different kinds of programs, exporters, gmax, 3DS, and nothing. I think that my computer is conspiring against me.

Open the scenario (with skybox) in sapien: Type: radiosity_quality 0 or radiosity_quality 1(best quality = slowdown) Then type: radiosity_startThen to finish: radiosity_saveEdited by Halonimator on Apr 20, 2016 at 01:51 AM

But I mean, if you could just hold off on that until some republican gets elected so all the gunophiles stop buying up all the ammo, that'd be great.

Actually it is, my computer had only 512 MB for a while, but I finally got around to scavenging some more sticks to bring it up to 2 GB. And the problem occurs even on my other computer that has 8 GB, so I doubt that is the problem.

Push r to move up. Now I feel stupid. You know, I actually figured out that the camera was moving just before I came to check this post. I noticed that the numbers were changing to indicate the camera was moving. I just didn't know the r and f, only wasd. It looks amazing by the way. Just what I needed. Thank you. I will probably be back here tomorrow with a problem with the tags, or converting the scenario to a map file. But until then, thank you all, and good night. (There is no bowing emojicon, but if there was one, I'd put it here.) Thank you. Quote: --- Original message by: Super Flanker Quote: --- Original message by: nathaninthailand Also, who's Dennis?
