When loading gmax, a few days ago, it crashed on startup. Restarting the computer fixed the problem, and I moved on. Now the same problem is happening again, and restarting is not fixing it. Worse, the problem is now appearing on my other computer, and a full reinstall gets me the same result.

one computer is windows 10, the other, windows xp
