HAC2 will add this functionality for you, amongst other things.

And it does it directly within the standard UI settings. It just adds the option for higher resolutions, no gimmicks.

Hac2 is love. Hac2 is life.

What's the difference between hac2 and opensauce?

Both push halo beyond its normal limits however OS covers the broader side of single player modding where as hac2 leans closer towards enhancing the mp experience.

With all that said IMO they are invaluable to those who love modding halo!

Why don't they merge the projects together if they're so useful?
BTW. You can change the resolution to wathever you want by the command line option -vidmode x,y,refresh rate
example
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -vidmode 1366,768,60
it gives me 1366x768 with a refresh rate of 60(Not fps)

Also they are not compatible with each other (unless I missed a patch or something).

So either pick one of the two or have 2 installations of HCE.

Or you can install both but remember to move the dinput.dll file from your hce directory every time you wish to load halo with the intention of using hac.

If you're using a graphics card that has more than one identical looking port on it. Hook your monitor up to the one that it considers the primary one

I don't have the 1366x768 option in settings, maybe 'couse I've two gpus. Anyway Halo just gives me 4:3 resolutions settings, I simply can go through with that.

did you use the newest update? or it could be your screen, what's the resolution you set for most games?

Do you have an Intel graphics chip? My laptop doesn't go beyond 720p in the settings despite my HD 5500 being over 10 years newer than CE and perfectly capable of running at 1080p. Blame Intel.

My laptop can run Halo CE at 1080p (when plugged into a 1080p monitor) and has Intel HD 4000 graphics (it's an older Macbook Air). It couldn't before being updated to 1.10 or without installing HAC2, however, and would have one less setting as the maximum resolution (768p).

My desktop computer can't run Halo CE 1.09 at 1080p, and it has Intel graphics disabled (you can't even see it listed in device manager), though it can run 1.10 at 1080p, or if HAC2 is installed.

I don't think it's Intel's fault.
