Assuming your machine switches between integrated and dedicated graphics: Quote: --- Original message by: beaucephal Go to the Nvidia control panel and check the game's settings in there. It may well be because HCE is such an old game that Nvidia Optimus is making it default to your integrated graphics chip and not your GeForce card, and as we all know, integrated graphics chips are almost guaranteed to be complete junk. http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=48984

What you're seeing are GPU artifacts, which is most often the result of the processor becoming unstable, either due to overheating or a poor overclock. However driver issues can uncommonly be the culprit as well. So unless you've made recent changes to your drivers, I'd recommend running a stress tester like FurMark, and checking your load temperatures. For desktop GPU's, you shouldn't be seeing it peak at anything above 80c, and if it does, discontinue the test. You'll likely just need to do some cleaning of the heatsink. For best advice, it would be helpful to know what GPU you have, and if you're running a laptop or not. Edited by Tucker933 on Jan 27, 2016 at 04:57 PM

OP, the first thing you do is take a screenshot using a program, not your camera... Second, CE doesn't like anti-aliasing, so check if it's enabled in the 3D settings of your graphics control panel.

Just to clarify, this is my friend's laptop. An Alienware. Also, it being 3 weeks old, I seriously doubt any GPU damage. Still, I'll tell him to stress test his laptop for a while. It doesn't seem to overheat, temps are well below 60 degrees. Specs: 16GB DDR4 RAM i7 GTX980M All other games (Cry 3, Witcher 3 and the likes) work just fine, too. more than likely a poor "rip" of a model with stretched vertices. did you swap out any weapons or make changes to any of the models?
