I searched around and have seen numerous "hints" and the like about the existence of working Halo 3 flamethrowers, but the only ones I've ever found end up looking like crap either in scale (usually way too big), or animation (some of them look hilarious in 3rd person).
I'm looking for a decent model replacement for the stock flamethrower, but even the CMT MP version is just the stock with a stub nose and a few 'extras'.
Does anyone know of any that are floating around that would be usable?
I'm really just looking for a model replacement, nothing super fancy. I just figured with the ten thousand versions of ripped weapons from Halo 3 (not even counting H2, reach, H4, or H:O), there would at least be ONE decent flamethrower.

you ideally have the z-team flamethrower that you could work with, otherwise you could just rip the H3 one yourself and work from there.
Making one doesn't sound too out of the question, though

I had the exact same question months ago, i never find anything better than the H1 one.

Making one doesn't sound too out of the question, though Unfortunately I don't have the time to do that from scratch at the moment. I'd have to learn modelling from the ground up in order to do a very simple thing, which I'm not keen to do. I plan on learning after this semester is up, but I certainly don't have time to right now. the z-team is the one I was talking about being just silly looking in every respect. Ground scale, holding scale, holding 3p animations, etc. I forgot about SOI's, I may ask to use his instead. Looks better than the H3 one anyway IMO

Does the one in [H3style] Containment belong to Z-team?

Heyo,
I would also check out the one on CLS Grunt's Gemini map. It looks kinda funky but its different from the CMT and Zteam ones.
