As the title says. I just formatted my PC to work with Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bits) and I ran the Halo CE installer from HaloMaps. But, by some reason, the installer crashes after the Copying files comes to 100%. So, the game doesn't reach the Registry process and, of course, it will not let Open Sauce to install because OS will not detect my Halo CE as installed. I tried by running as Administrator but didn't work. If someone can help me please. PS: I can't change the Compatibility mode. It's in Windows XP SP3 by default and it doesn't let change it .

Open your Start menu and click Control Panel 2. Browse to “System Maintenance” then “System” 3. In the left panel, select “Advanced System Settings” from the available links 4. You should now see the System Properties Window, which will have three sections. The top section is labeled “Performance” and has a “Settings” button. Click this button. 5. Select the “Data Execution Prevention” tab. 6. Select the option which reads “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select” 7. Use the “Browse” button to locate the executable file for the application you were trying to start when you received the StackHash error, and click Open to add it to your exceptions list. 8. Click Apply or OK to commit your changes. Edited by SS Flanker on Sep 21, 2015 at 06:03 PM

Didn't work. I'll see if I can reinstall Windows and see if persists. I don't have important files anyways. And now the same problem is happening if I open a new Tab in Mozilla Firefox

Could be a problem with the installation of Windows. Few tips:
Run windows update and check that all updates all installed.
Windows saves some restore checkpoints so you can roll back to a previous saved point. Try rolling back to a previous saved point.
Format your PC again.

AVG is poop. Anyone who tells you otherwise is misinformed or deliberately trolling. If you want to scan your computer for issues, Malwarebytes is a decent go-to. It's lightweight, free, and even has a seperate rootkit scanner if you want to check for those, too.

Back in 2007 AVG marked perfectly fine software i had installed in my computer as trojans and made my PC a fk fest! Not to mention the resources it ate. For freebies: Avast, Bitdefender Free, Avira, ClamAV, Komodo AV, AdAware For People that wanna waste $$$$$$$$: Bitdefender Internet Security, Kaspesky, NOD32, F-Secure Malwarebytes + any free AV would be just fine. I also like Spyware terminator and Spyware Doctor

Well... after all, the same problem appeared in my Creative XtremeGamer's Console Launcher, so, I just reinstalled Windows (again), and now the problem was solved (by now). I personally hate the antiviruses and I don't use them for almost 4 years, but I don't wanna have this problem again so I will search for an antivirus.

Use BitDefender free alongside MalwareBytes Free Have two accs, one as admin and another one just for browsing the internet, do social life, downloading stuff, etc. Just use your Admin acc to install software. That way you prevent for most viruses and malware to enter your computer.
