I got my new PC, i installed Halo CE on my E drive, tried installing OS, and right when i click halo all the os files vanish. why does this happen and how can i fix it? don't tell me "INSTALL CE ON C YOU IDIOT" because C is my SSD which houses my Operating System and programs like Max.

This may sound barbaric but have you tried just installing it on C then cutting the files it installed and placing it in your Halo folder. After that making them read-only? Better yet, just skip installing it in C and make them read-only.

Yes and it still does. Can someone just please send all the OS files including the ones for HEK?

Did you check your anti-virus program? That may be the cause of the problem. Have you tried disabling it and then running Halo and see if that makes a difference?

I'm sorry if these answers sound like something you would give to someone incredibly computer illiterate but these are the best answers I could come up with.

I don't really have anything on here yet because i just got the computer.

also, did i mention the game is also deleting itself?

Do you mean the files are literally gone because in order to fix that error you have to install this.

Any specific errors this time or does it just not start up?

It starts up now that i've installed it for 15th million time. OS still, STILL won't install.


EDIT: Might have figured it out. Will provide solution when I know it works.

So the lesson here kids if fate doesn't want you to install halo with the prime intention of creating crappy mods then move to UE4.
