This is a Halo Custom Edition forum, however we do allow limited discussion of other Halo games. In order to keep the forum uncluttered with random threads about Halo 5 all discussions for that game will be restricted to this thread.

MAp's too big for infantry, needs teleporters or man cannons.

Random power weapon and vehicle spawns might be better too. How it is now you can get everyone get in a banshee basically.

There were infact too many h5 threads, good thinking Dennis.

And I dont quite understand the use of the vulture.

Or for that matter its actual name, if I had said to you a year or so ago the next halo game will feature a new weapon called the "vulture" would you not attribute such a name with covenant tech?

UNSC is keeping in line with bird vehicles: Pelican, Falcon, Vulture.

Though not everything follows this.

And Covenant craft are generally named after spooks, apparitions, and other supernatural entities, while walkers are named after insects.

This seems the most oddest name for a UNSC weapon in my opinion it sounds something you would attribute to a water based covenant ship or something like that.

Might have some alternative routes but will in the end be the same.

Like that double sided trailer? Maybe the Guardian suddenly takes chief somewhere far away, be it he was winning or not. Then next time they meet chief wins on both routes making it ine route again. OR something like that.

It seems like the Halo 5 lack of splitscreen will be a real problem for me... so you see...

Me, my dad and my brother used to play Halo CE Splitscreen MP all the time, we would do it for hours. we even did it a few times before HCEA released, so my dad today sees some H5 footage, and he tells me he wants to play splitscreen on it...

well, i guess that family sorta tradition has to end thanks to Halo 5 now :(

Hmm. Bipeds still have a very actiony figure feel to me. There is just too much going on, I felt halo 3's and especially halo reaches biped selection and customizability was extremely fair and in coherence with alternating story lines. (comics, novels)

Halo 5 leading on from 4 really feels like the amount of tech and hardware is there to look cool rather than to have an appropriate function.

One of my biggest nit picking arguments would the the way in which each Spartans armour is consolidated.

Generally halo 3's Power suit covered all the bases.

> It's huge.
> It's bulky.
> It covers mostly everything.
> What isn't mostly covered is either very minimal or covered with something else.

Halo 4's power shell was completely different.

> It's very sporty and very thin.
> It doesn't look very bulky therefore it doesn't feel strong.
> The groin and lower torso are seem very exposed! I would be worried if I was packing.
> Armour can't cover everything but the substitutes look lacklustre and feeble almost like felt.

I do plan on updating my portfolio with some new hard surface models, and a spartan armour set is what I had in mind, maybe not that one you posted, but I do plan on making one :) And baking normals and texturing and maybe rigging, will probably be game ready, just don't know when.

I will make the rubber under-suit first, that would be the base for any characters I make, then all I would need to do is just make new armour pieces and stick it on.

Probably base my under suit (dunno proper name) on this style:

Bruuuuuuuuuh if you make a new undersuit without the crappy scales I will love you. The fact that the suit had the Spartans armor color and the the fact it had those scales (and wierd looking gloves in H5) made the spartan IVs unappealing. Without that stuff they look beautiful.

Hey, I'm not going to lie, I thought that looked like a lot of fun. Way more in the spirit of the original pitch for Halo, i.e. a massive battlefield with dynamically changing objectives, than any other game in the series has really attempted. I'm guessing that nothing of this mode will make it across to PC, but I'm so far pretty impressed.

If the game is indeed streamable to pc then it may be possible to rip models and textures > not animations but it would also depend on whether or not it will be a 32 or 64 bit stream/platform thingy.

You must have no clue how streaming works.

I'm unsure if the xone use 64 or 32. But if I can get it to run through a pc os then it is indeed rip-able using a capture agent.

It's not actually running the game on the PC, its just projecting the Xbox ones screen on your PC. Think how a capture card works.

You are right in that aspect but you could create equal content data which would stream from your pc to your xone and collect the valid data.

Though it would be exponentially tricky.

Both the Xbox One and PS4 use an x86-64 (AMD64) CPU.

Sometimes I wonder if you even know what you're babbling about half the time. Like Sean said, you clearly have no idea how streaming works.

My god, I remember a time when a new Halo game would come out and people would be like, oh lets make that content!

Now all everyone says is, lets rip it all!

What happened...

It became convenient for people. When people find something that takes less time to stuff in game they will use it. And also because not everyone is capable of making high quality models.
