No, if you have a valid copy of Windows 7 or 8 you get a free upgrade whenever you like.
But only for a year. So I think clicking this will give whatever your product number is a green light to get W10 whenever you like. |

I am using the preview build and I haven't experienced any CE problems, I couldn't get OS to run on the previous version if that means anything.

Personally I don't see much of a problem for CE modders in W10.
I do however strongly believe that buying a new win10 pc may cause more compatibility errors against an older pc with an older OS which has been upgraded. No it's not yet available... also it says its a free upgrade, not a trial, so once you upgrade it's yours for ever, not for 1 year.
